Moreno, that is.

What a prospect this young lad is. Yes, defensively somewhat suspect at times, but what a breath of fresh air to see him at full flight down that left side arrowing his way into the box. It's been a long time since we've had an authentic threat from full-back but this lad is the real deal.

He's going to get better too once he's in a settled back line and adds a bit more guile to his defending. I said it when he signed, but he reminds me of a young Lizarazu. He's been a real positive in an early season full of uncertainty and disappointment so far.

Aye a few occasions left night he'd leave his man and a.n other in his wake as he bombed on , some clever movement and very fucking calm in our own 16 when on the ball a bit like Enrique in that respect ( not that it's always a good thing a few near misses last night along with goals he's cost us this season from not clearing his lines or taking too many touches.

He's an improvement and an exciting prospect.

An actual good left back. Boss. I said the same about Enrique though so I'm waiting a few months before I decide if he's the shit

He can occasionally want too long on the ball but yes, he's going to be a top player. That said, I think Manquillo is an even better prospect.

Has turned out a lot better than I'd feared after reading that Seville fans were glad to see him go. He can attack *and* defend, which is great. Not the finished article yet (e.g.last night he frequently left a shedload of space down his wing, which we got away with because Real didn't exploit it well) but the basics of a very good player indeed are definitely there.

He looks good, but I'm not convinced yet. We've had too many false dawns with full backs.

He's been caught out of position a good bit, which he makes up for with his pace. And he's had some poor decision making too. He hasn't been helped by the shambles our defence has been.

I won't go signing him up for 5 years yet, but it's been as good a start as any full backs we've signed in recent times.

@Wizardry Watch this and tell me again he was "about the 9th-best player" vs Real. In fact pretty much all of our attacking moves on the night were created by him, including Lallana's chance (which I failed to notice during the game). And there is lots of good defensive work there too.

Mate, I talked about how good his cross was and that he offered something going forward which is a saving for him compared to what Manquillo offered.

That said, if you thought that was a demonstration of a good fullback performance then we've got very different valuation methods.

It showed none of his failings against Isco and did demonstrate the team problem of constantly turning the ball backwards.

I did miss the fact he assisted the Lallana chance but, TBH, I still think Lallana made that one himself.

I dunno, Spurs goal aside has he had any assists or goals?

He gets caught out of position a hell of a lot and if you are going to be that kind of full back you better be in the Baines mould and be helping the ball into the back of the net at the other end.
