Is it though? I mean if Trent wants to be a midfielder, playing him on the right of a midfield three seems like the best way to use his strengths.Seems daft to do that, especially when links to Bellingham are so credible.
I'm not saying that he's going to be played in midfield this season. But in the future he might be a utility like Milner. RB being his natural position, but deputising in midfield when needed.
There's room for Bellingham in our midfield, considering the age of our midfielders.
