Chill guys. Neither of the kids are going to start. This place is going to be a right mess when Harry Wilson scores his second goal.

Elliot keeps the ball better under pressure and with our high line it is essential we don't lose the ball in bad areas when we are moving the entire team up.

So, Carvalho starts on the opposite side of the pitch and in a deeper position to where he has, so far, played - and you’re happy to die on that hill?
Since it's the position he played in at Fulham yeah.

He played mainly as an AM for Fulham in a 4-2-3-1.Drifted a lot to the left during games going by the highlights from last season. Cant see him replacing Hendo or that he played there during his Fulham days.
He’ll feature mainly as an LW for us, but operate a lot centrally during games is my guess. Thats how Diaz has played during pre season.

The rumoured switch to 4-2-3-1 aint happening.

Like a certain Coutinho, anyway I don't believe we'll change the formation any time soon. However, Klopp did but Elliott in a similar position last season without us seeing it in pre season.

Elliott was already playing on the right side, RW and then down to RCM.

If anything Carvalho could get some game time instead of Thiago at LCM. But I dont think that is likely.
It will be mainly LW this season.
Replacing Hendo seems very far off.

Ah, Stuart Atwell. Great.

Referee: Andy Madley. Assistants: Dan Cook, Derek Eaton.Fourth official: Tony Harrington. VAR: Stuart Attwell. Assistant VAR: Gary Beswick.

Carvalho has had a good preseason, just like Elliott did last year and he was firing at the start of last season. You can't read too much into a handful of games, just like you can't write Elliott off as "not ready" when he's previously performed well in the first team and is clearly just getting back up to speed after a bad injury. He's had the inevitable post recovery slump, as Klopp said. Both are going to be boss for us. There's no need to turn this into the usual either/or bullshit idiocy, lets not have 5yrs of one is great, therefore the other can only be shit.

I thought the Elliott, Salah, TAA triangle on our right hand side was very effective at the beginning of the last season. Elliott may not have express pace or strength but knows how to quickly control and make clever passes. If his fitness and form is upto speed, I can see Klopp trying that combination again.

Harry Wilson will miss the game with a knee injury. Could be out for 6 weeks or something.

I missed Keira being injured again. What’s wrong and how long?

I think they've seen a couple of think pieces from our Twitter base, and got confused.

It'll just be Trent drifts in to the RCM position when we're on the attack; as he has been doing since about January
