Pretty sure Benitez would take the job if they offered it to him. Not sure it would work out though. Imagine the fuss their fans would make when we beat them

Here’s one to make you all laugh.

The athletic via bbc sport rumours are touting Gerrard

Absolutely ludicrous

Rafa to Wolves that might be an option for Rafa to consider.
Dean Smith should be sacked, despite spending £230m they finished 11th. That's fucking shit.

He really shouldn't. From last-day relegation survivors to halfway up the league in one season isn't at all bad, plus they've got some good youngsters coming up, as we found out to our cost just recently.

I really can't see Rafa going to Everton after all of his history and love of Liverpool. Regardless of whether he has a home here or not. He'd never be accepted by a majority of their fans either. No chance he'll go there, none.

Maddock seems to think he's up for going there and he was the last time the opportunity was mentioned.

There's definitely been a falling out between Moshri and Carlo.

It's clear Carlo was sold a dream, but Moshri doesn't have the funds to make it happen between COVID and the new stadium.

Carlo Ancelotti: "Every club has different goals. Real Madrid's goal is to win the #UCL and La Liga. Everton's goal is to try to get a European spot, and a few years ago it was to stay in the Premier League.”

Wow. I did think yesterday, Carlo has probably taken one look at it last season and thought, what's the point? They're up against it, even with a big transfer investment this season, there are about 6 teams that they are nowhere near in terms of how quickly any one of those teams could take an even bigger step up. And even then there are a good 3-4 teams beyond that who can cause problems.

The board backed CA, and he spent £200m off over 2 seasons and finishing 10th just isn't good enough considering what Leicester and West Ham have spent.

Remember when Rodgers was sacked Ancelotti's name was right up there with Klopp.

Thank goodness we went Klopp. Nothing against Carlo, but it seems to me his main strength is getting a bunch of superstars into a team together and making it work practically. He was never right for Everton, and wouldn't have been right for us.

Disagree with the last bit. We were in a good position to make big moves in the market with FSG having just taken over and IMHO Ancelotti would have been an excellent choice at that stage. The fact that he'd have gone about it radically differently from Klopp doesn't mean he wouldn't have succeeded.
