As is trying to change things by bringing on a defender.

But he's not much of a defender is he?

I imagine the thinking was Moreno could offer some width and pace down the left. Though, for me, it was too cute a move by Rodgers. But one he would have endlessly talked up had it have come off.

What a shit, shit game. Less of a reality check than a predictable outcome. You felt this game was always coming.

Well, then, what the hell was Rodgers doing?!
I'm not disagreeing with you mate...if anything I'm backing up your point that if the substitution was intended to get us more on the front foot it never got past first base. If you'll excuse the mixing of metaphors.

Every change he made did one thing, isolated Benteke more & more, when we should have been doing the reverse.

I've recorded motd but haven't been able to force myself to watch it yet, I may understand what he was trying to achieve with his changes after I watch that, but I fucking doubt it.
I didn't see the game as I was playing a match myself but I presume he brought on a defender to switch formation which would ultimately try increase our attacking options?

Kinda. I think he wanted Moreno to support Benteke by making runs & creating space.

If he did he either failed to tell him that or Moreno failed to understand it though.

Both Moreno and clyne both didn't advance to give support when they became wing backs. I really think the tactic was to support benteke.

I'm surprised by the reaction from some given comments after the first few games.

The first three games yielded points but the signs were all there.
