If that was done to our player by a player with a yellow, we'd have asked for a second yellow ... Shaqiri made a meal of it but we're just lucky that Dean was extremely lax with his whistle today (which mostly hurt us)
 
Bobby Firmino took the piss in that 2nd half. I know he's still had a good season, I just wish he could play like that more often because when he's like that he's a really brilliant footballer and a joy to watch.

Klopp, stop trying to be fucking clever. It's not you. Three at the back? Doesn't work. We don't have the personnel. You fucking know this. I know this & I'm a barely functional human being who grasps the very basic fundamentals of football after years of trying.

Ming, as much as I moan about him, was arguably our best player today. Punched every single cross & set piece out of danger, made several brilliant saves, some last ditch ones he had no right to, & for once didn't shit his centre backs up even once coming out & playing the ball in danger areas.

I watched this game with a proper bitter, BITTER blue sitting next to me & even he told me Simon had a great game. To give you an idea how bitter this fella is, after an hour of me & my mate chatting with him about the derby, I finally, finally, eeked out the confession, "ok, maybe Barkley was a bit naughty BUT I can tell you all about your precious Gerrard doing well worse".

I have to admit, I simply laughed & said "Ahhhhh Hahahahaha, that stamp! Love it!" although tbf that was just me being a twat cos he shouted "GET IN" when Stoke scored against us.
 
Oh, & Firmino & Coutinho showed just how damn good they can be, & how fucking poor their teammates are in comparison.

Also, that ball from Wijnaldum for Coutinho's goal? Fuck me. As good as his finish was, it was nothing compared to that ball, that was fucking genius in football form.
 
Talking of bitter blues...funny the way Jonny Walters has scored the opening goal in the two games we've played them this season and still been on the end of two defeats. How sick must he be feeling. Unlucky, pal.
 
Firminos goal was a carbon copy of a goal (i think) Albert Riera scored against Villa a few years back.

I liked Riera he was a good footballer. Like Maxi.

Nah mate, it was just a normal foul. No yellow card. He rolled around like a little girl though.
 
On an entirely seperate note... Since the January debacle, no player has played better than Gini Wijnaldum. He's been absolutely outstanding for about 10 games in a row now.

Yes. I'm starting to see the player I thought we signed. Finally not playing within himself; a rare combination of tactical discipline with creativity and technique. Love Gini! He just needs to cut out those Gerrard-esque back-passes...
