A win is a win is a win. Tie was over... Now we need to get some goals.

Good for us to keep the competitive edge..

Lovren will always be good for a mistake or two. Milner, nothing you could do about that.

Salah, Firminho irreplaceable.

Mane, grafter but decision making not what it was.

Feck me, how far we have come. Complaining about a 5-2 lead!!

They might well do but only once Salah,Frim, Mane have been charged with gang raping the Roma keeper agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain.

Roma may score three goals but they won’t stop us scoring. We’ll be fine. Get ready for Kiev.
 
Henderson and Milner and then Gini helped dominate the midfield, we completely overran them in the second half until the closing stages.

Players like Lovren don't change. Mistakes like that are infectious, it starts to spread throughout the team and suddenly the tide has turned against you. TAA started to bottle it and panic, just because Lovren started becoming hesitant.
 
The trick is to imagine you're them. Going away and losing 2-5: once the relief of getting two goals back, you'd feel pretty depressed, and for all the attempts to get yourself up for the return game, the thought that it just takes one goal against to wreck things, well, that's how they'll feel. This is no time for insecurity on our part. If anything it should make us approach the second game as though it's 0-0 and all to play for. We need to be ferocious.
 
I hope ox is not too badly injured ... so gutted for him ...

Great performance from 20-78 or so, we should have scored 7-8 goals easily.
 
I am not sure the late goals will effect the outcome of this tie but it will certainly give our opponents belief, that if we do get to the final, a two or three goal cushion, even into the latter part of the game is far from insurmountable when playing Liverpool

This is my exact thought.
During the match it lifted them. Full time Dzeko, Perotta and others were on their knees. And they have a week to let it soak in.
They need to win by 3 goals against a team that just put 10 past them and Man City

BTW Milner's corner that Firmino headed home means Milner broke the record he held jointly with 3 others for the most assists in the CL in a single season. He's now on EIGHT !

By HT Milner had run ONE FULL KM further than any other player on the pitch. Incredible.

I'm not sure anyone actually feels that though .. when you are getting battered and are 2 or 3 behind.
 
That’s the ox’s World Cup gone I reckon. Great result tho, 3 goal margin, should have been more, never a pen. And I’m confident we’ll score more at theirs as they’ve got to have a go
