Woohooo..

Brilliant display, should have been more, but will take that..

Just need to score 1 in the 2nd leg, they will need 4..

Oh and Lallana.. Worth every penny.. (with displays like that)

Ferdinand unimpressed. Scholes even less diplomatic. Fellaini could be in trouble for an off the ball arm flung in Can's direction, who made a meal of it.

We are starting to show signs of a real solid team. We comprehensively outplayed them. Sturridge coming off was a good decision, and our finishing should have been better, but a good win and a clean sheet in the first leg is tremendous.

Lallana gives me a football boner when he turns it on

Same here @Mystic - £32 from the Liverpool -1, shame we didn't get the 3rd

Kudos to Klopp!

Great tactics and bringing on Allen was a perfect sub to break United's dominance in midfield again.

Great performance.

The only minor criticism would be that better finishing would've ended the tie tonight.

Thought Allen made a real difference when he came on and helped us wrestle back control of the game. Pleased for him.

Sakho - I dunno what's happened to him, but he's gone so so far backwards as compared to some of his earlier performances this year.
Lovren - very good performance.
Moreno - best performance from him in a LONG time.
Clyne - fucking solid

Hendo - disappointing but good effort
Can - marshalling display
Lallana - if he plays at this level, or that against City, he'll become a big big favorite.

Coutinho - disappointing for me
Firmino - worked his socks off, rewarded with a goal and some of his touches were fantastic.
Studge - a bit too selfish for me, but he is a striker and better that than one who doesn't want the ball at his feet whenever it's around the box. good peno, but it doesn't seem he's remotely close to the fitness he showed 2 years ago.

Klopp - right team, and whatever he told the lads, they dominated ... bar a 5 minute spell, we destroyed this team and 2-0 flatter those cunts.

Ooops ... forgot Mign ... One solid punch, and no fucks up ... phew.

Oh, and fuck Screech. Fucking twat.

How does Fellaini get away with t? Again and again and again??? Another elbow while on a yellow card. That guy is a thug, plain and simple,

He probably won't get away with that. Raised his arms to Can, so will hopefully get a ban. Even if it was acting

He was on the verge of forcing his way into the team a while back before he picked up and injury, looks like he might be carrying on his form.

Yeah Allen was very good indeed.

Yeah Allen is a decent squad player and I can't understand why some want him sold.
You never have enough decent central midfielders.

Good decisions by Klopp.

Coutinho: exasperating again. Genius mixed with stupidity.

Sturridge: he's out of the loop at the mo. He's a lovely player but he doesn't seem attuned to the others. Yet.

Sakho: someone said a while ago he isn't dominant and can't head the ball. Bollocks.

Clyne: top class.

Lallana: excellent.

Hendo is promising but don't invite a yellow card so early.

Moreno: I have to acknowledge he did much better tonight.

Allen: Another good effort. I've always been a supporter and he showed he's a clever player in these conditions.

The team just needs to play the ball simply to feet. The speed of passing was often great, but too often we surrendered possession because we went for needlessly risky passes. KEEP THE BALL. It's not difficult at this level. Be patient and pass to feet.

As far as the second game is concerned: I always remember Paisley saying we got knocked out by Forest because we forgot we were playing a European game, not a league game. We need to approach it as a proper European game and keep our composure.

Blimey I spent the whole match with my head in a bucket throwing up! According to the studio guys Utd were a shower. This makes me feel slightly better. Now where's that bucket....

Credit to Liverpool fans for not saying anything about Munich whilst our scum of a fan base sang about The Lying Rag and Hillsborough. Disgusting
That's been mentioned a few times on RC :

Things that are grim:

1. Liverpool beating us.
2. Liverpool deserving to beat us.
3. The time we've wasted on LVG.
4. The time we'll likely still waste on LVG.
5. Our best player likely leaving in the summer.
6. Our remaining players being what our remaining players are.
7. Hillsborough chants from the dickhead section of our fanbase.
8. Another leg of this shite to come.
