Lovren a 6 is just wrong. He was very good again yesterday, as he was against City. A few misplaced passes doesnt change that.
People have just made up their minds about him.

Can was at least an 8. Skrtel 7.5 and Lovren 7. Our whole defence was very good.

No it's not wrong. He made an horrendous pass to Ming and gifted away possession numerous times from poor passing. What if that pass had led to a goal ? Would you still be praising him to the hilt ? The error should be judged, not the outcome of the error.
I certainly am not isolating him for flack, but I'm also not wearing blinkers just because we had a very good performance against a team in the relegation zone.

Great performance all around.

A word on Moreno. He is young. It is his first season. And he has played a lot recently. But I thought he was poor yesterday with the ball. As an outlet, he was good, as he should be. But when with the ball, I was disappointed. It's frustrating because we have seen glimpses of him being superb.

Final word on subs: I thought it was strange to bring on Toure, Johnson and Lambert, especially the latter two. What does it all mean for Mario? Why give Lambert 2 min at the end and not Jordan Williams? This is knit-picking, but still a minor gripe.

The subs were fine, it just helped us ease out the game. As for Moreno, I think he really suffers from not having Sakho behind him, Lovren just isn't as good as finding him. Still he probably would have scored if not for a slip, I thought he was decent.

So one bad back pass results in a 6? And it resulted in a corner. What it could have resulted in is irrelevant imho.
As I said people don't seem to give him credit when its due. He's picked himself up imho, long may it continue.
3rd most touches in the side yesterday and a passing completion of 80,3%. That's decent enough.

His defensive contribution was a 7 in that game. But anyhoo, opinions sopinions eh. 🙂

He's the Caiser. #TrueFact

Moreno gives us balance out there I suppose. He's a decent outlet too. He breaks down a lot of our attacks. He's young, eager and has bags of pace. I'm okay with him.

List of players that where shit - but after a consistent run of games - suddenly get better...

Coutinho
Lallana
Moreno
Can
Lucas
Allen
Henderson
Markovic
Sterling
Sakho
Lovren

...... I'm just suggesting something here....

I think including Markovic disproves your point

Passing completion of 80% for a CB is poor. Especially in a team like ours that builds from the back.

That bobbly ball back to a keeper with thrupenny feet with Ings bearing down on him makes me shudder every time I remember it.

I had to lol at Sterling's expression when Sturridge left him hanging during his goal-celebration pointing to the heavens thing

Agree with you about Sakho behind Moreno.
