I don't want to see Mascherano and Lucas as our central midfield pairing EVER again. It's so difficult to watch that I don't care which one is dropped, just drop one of them and pair them with Gerrard and play Yossi in 'Gerrad's spot'. Just please stop this shit, it couldn't create anything against a Hungarian pub team, it did nothing against Everton bar a deflected shot and yet again, struggled to break down an average Blackburn side. For the love of __________ (insert deity here) ...

Oh, and while we're at it, despite all his loving fans, Kuyt has been shit for 2 months now. He's scored one goal and created nothing. We cannot continue seeing 3 defensive players starting in our midfield, who struggle to SCORE ANY GOALS AS midfielders. This is really disappointing stuff.

4th spot? I am struggling to see how we'll get 6th spot on this form ... oh wait, Torres will come back, score a shit load of goals and everyone will forget this exciting period in our history.

I agree that the CM partneship is the weakest link in our team. And it probably has been since the start of this season, in spite of some close competition from our defence at times. No creativity whatsoever.
I do care which one should be dropped - it has to be Lucas. Mascherano is at least very good in destroying the opponent's attacks, while he's pretty shit at buiiding our atacks. Lucas is not very good in either. Lucas must be dropped.

What a depressing game, BTW.

When Lucas fell over going forward and creating a chance for them rather than us, it just highlighted his contribution to our team.

Rafa needs to buy players with pace. Stop with the good professional and mentality crap. Pace, trickery, skill. I dont care if there mental.
Without Torres we're the slowest team in the league. Counter attacks? No thanks, we cant outrun a single defence.
 
I'd sooner have Igor back in midfield rather than watch Lucas again. How many of you snorted with laughter when he slipped upon receiving a pass in the clear. Utterly useless.
 
There is one positive tho.

I'm paying good money to watch cable sports; with a shit Liverpool side, the Mancs winning, and with every fucking pundit under The Lying Rag telling us how shit we are.

Since I don't watch pool, darts, golf or tennis...why bother?

Tho I do like those Taiwanese pool chicks.

I can save some money by cancelling my subscription.

Not sure I know what you are referring to, but I guess it must have soemthing to do with the "I miss Sami" thread. Haven't read that one. Sorry.
And BTW - we might have done better in corners if we had Sami, and we had some today 😉
 
I cannot comprehend how Rafa persists with this midfield partnership. Its been obvious since our pre-season games it's fuckin shit and doesnt work. This whole Aquilani affair is ridiculous too. What a stubborn fool.
 
It's not bad luck to ignore the obvious.

Persisting with Dirk Kuyt when he was shit - cost us.
Not switching to the 4-2-3-1 formation when every forum had it listed as their preferred choice months before - cost us; And
Playing Lucas and Mascherano - is costing us hugely.

People say all good managers are stubborn, well fuck me, I don't care. He's blind.

Buying lots of shit players and selling good ones also hasn't made his job any easier.

I made a post at the start of the season saying that if we didn't buy a striker to back-up Torres we wouldn't win the League (in fact I said we would struggle to qualify for the CL)

I predict Masch and Gerrard will not be in the team, the only plus for this game is to rest some players.

I made a post the first time I saw Lucas in a pre-season match stating that he was fucking shite - and he could not have won the same Brazilian award as Ronaldinho.

I also made a post before the start of the season stating that Kuyt was not suitable as our permanent Right Mid and noted Skrtel looked like a liability 3/4 of the way through last season.


I also hate being right about so much depressing stuff. 🙁
