Utd squad worth over €1bn .... UEFA's European Club Finance and Investment Landscape Report team have obviously not been to Old Toilet recently

Yeah… isn’t this what it cost to put the squad together, not what it’s actually worth.

I note City are finally admitting they’re wage bill is the highest - maybe they’ve actually had to start releasing accurate financial info for a change.
I’d put that in first place of the funniest things you’ve ever said. Even higher than recommending sparkling Shiraz.

Look… it’s not me right… Aussies are the ones that think sparkling Shiraz is a good idea.

I have a bottle of white Shiraz at home too.

For now though, I’m more concerned about what other beers I can use this new Guinness Surger thing with…. Time to experiment since I’m on holiday.

Also… I’m on holiday in Larne, so I need booze to make it through.

I’d like to know the outcome of your experiments!

Holiday in Larne?

I'm sure the Dead Kennedys had a song about that

Visiting the family with the wee man - it limits what I can do - although I think we’re going to see some lions freezing their balls off at Belfast zoo next week and there are at least 2 off-licences I have yet to visit in search of decent beer.

Our worst league position since the club got promoted in 63 has been 8th. Man U's has been 13th since they won promotion in 75/76. They might eclipse that record by finishing lower tha 13th

I'm going to a nephew's wedding in June, reception is at Magheramorne Estate, that I believe is just outside Larne. Any tips?

Hang on I can't be that old ! I remember them being relegated - don't tell me that was before 1963 !!

You could go to the quarry and see where they filmed the wall scenes from Game of Thrones. It's also the place where my great grandfather fell to his death circa 1912. Some say he was pushed as he was originally from Cork and, well, this is just outside Larne.

The Vineyard on the Ormeau Road if you make it that far into Belfast.

To be honest if he was from Cork anyone on the island could've pushed him.

The wedding itself is in Belfast and the second day (that's apparently a thing nowadays) is in Cutters Wharf in Belfast. My lad lives in Belfast, so hopefully we wont have to fork out for a hotel.

For the record the nephew (on my wife's side) is a good free state Tayto eater from Strabane, his wife to be kicks with another foot altogether.

Yeah, I’ve been there before and even ordered one of the beer packs to be delivered.

Not sure I’ll get a chance to get up there or not, unfortunately.

Yeah… that’s where a lot of the GoT cast stayed when they filmed all the Castle Black stuff at Magheramorne House.

You’ll likely have to go through Larne (or Carrick or backroads).

Best advice - doors locked, windows up… try not to stop.

There really isn’t anything in Larne worth stopping for.

If you come south during your stay, gimme a shout... I'm staying with Dad for the month. He's in Skerries, North Co. Dublin, but I can get into Town for a session if needs be. 😉

Used to love Belfast zoo. It is actually a cracking zoo. Quite hilly though, given its built on the side of Cave hill.

Apart from the ferry.

Now, now, all parts of Ireland are represented as happy partners in representing the better part of this forum. Even the heathen parts where they eat shite Tayto.

Taste test carried out and Tandragee’s finest reconfirmed as much better than the southern flavoured cardboard.
