For anyone saying "if anyone wants to go, we should let them go"... I think we should be trying to pursuade people to stay, but the reality is it's not a matter of letting anyone go.

If a player wants to leave nowadays, they'll go regardless.

Is it so wrong Anita for him to want what we all would like to see happen this summer as well (especially after what we've seen take place at Anfield over the last few years) ?

If he does one to you know who then he deserves all the abuse he gets, but as it stands he's done nothing wrong in my eyes.

Didn't you say the same thing during the Torres saga 4PM?

Point is, when players start publically questioning in a certain tone it's indicative of them questioning their position at the club. And like I say, if he wants to go, he can go, I won't shed any tears because we're still Liverpool FC, and we've seen bigger and better than him come and go, I just don't see the point of hysterics.

I also don't see why the club should be held to ransom by players, the club should look to rebuild because we need to rebuild not to appease individuals. Either you're someone who believes in the club and can see the direction we're going in and get on board, or you don't.

Frankly I feel good about the direction of the club, and most of the players and people connected to the club seem to too, they sound positive and excited about what's to come, expect for Reina. Repeatedly he's talking about what the club need to do. Like the club needs him to tell the media and world we need to strengthen.

If he's a downer for me, just by reading his droning, then I'd suggest he's a downer for others at the club.

Quite right.

I'd also rather a player come out and say "I want to leave because of X" rather than all this implied bullshit.

Is there no room for a player arguing for the improvement of the club, and calling on the owners to make necessary improvements? It seems like he's basically saying that he'd like to be convinced. Wouldn't we like the same?

Re: Pepejavascript:void(0);

We should use the Reina money to buy Lloris from Lyon...younger and may even cost less than what we get from Reina's sale.

I don't think i was around when El Judas did one Anita (i could be wrong).

Fair enough if thats how you view it, but personally i'm not going to slag off one of our best ever keepers just because he's said he want's us to improve (which is all he's done as far as i can tell).

"If" he does stay next season what will your opinion of him be then?

It seems not Farky.

Reina is already appeased by what he has seen from Fenway and Dalglish.
He ha his escape clause written in under the last regime (Hicks and Gillett) and wanted an insurance policy should no investment be found.
He has seen the investment and the intention. He has seen how things are now and how they will be. It isnt a massive secret around the club that there will be heavy investment in the summer, that is why you see smiles on the players faces again.
A lot of the quotes from Reina are re-hashed from summer and edited to remove bits about how happy he is and how he doesnt want to leave.
He's a baldy legend and he loves us and wants to stay. He worried as we all did and wanted assurances. They have been made.

and Reina cost Roy an opening day win against Arsenal which may have given us a whole different season.

Interesting thought...

It's not interesting at all.

It's bollocks.

true but we will never know how much confidence the squad may of got from beating a better team in the first game, maybe Torres would have tried harder after that game and believed in us

I am only talking bollox people, Reina cost us FACT !!

Let him go 😉

I've been watching his reaction when we've scored and he's been as enthusiastic as ever.

He's been far too gabby for my liking. I'd look to sell him if we can get a good fee.

Fox is too opinionated for me too

I gave up on Reina as soon as he gave that interview with Sid Lowe of the Guardian, a few weeks ago, in which he refused to rule out a move to Manchester Utd. Was that just to put pressure on the club's hierarchy? Fuck off. It's a total lack of respect for Liverpool. If he actually goes there, he'll be worse than Torres and Owen combined.

Yeah, I was just about to post this exactly. Gab to the press all you want, but the one thing you should be willing to do, as someone who repeatedly has said how much he loves Liverpool, the fans, and the city, is rule out a move to the scum. I don't think I'm expecting too much when I say that. It's the baseline of expectations in my opinion. If that is not the truth, just shut your gob and don't ever say anything. Just do your job, collect a paycheck, and be a mercenary. There's nothing wrong with that. Just don't be a falsely serenading fuckwit.

As many people said at the time of Fernando, these cunts can fuck off making demands of the club. Who the fuck are they to make demands of the club?

I keep hearing how we're Liverpool FC and blah de blah blah

Except we haven't been Liverpool FC for quite a while now... Liverpool FC wouldn't continue to sell their best players in consecutive transfer windows. Liverpool FC wouldn't have allow someone as mediocre as Hodgson be the manager. Are these the actions of a club that exists to win trophies?

Once we're Liverpool FC again, our best players won't want to leave and they'll be totally satisfied with what they have.

I don't care what state the club is in. If you're playing for Stockport County you still shouldn't be making public demands of them. Fuck these cunts. All of them.

I'm fine with him leaving, I made peace with that shit the second he gave that interview to Sid Lowe as Bunny alluded to.

I'm notfine with these continual links to Paul Robinson as his replacement though. That useless fat cunt can fuck right off.

My love for Pepe has dwindled ever since a new Spanish bloke called Javier started at my work.

I don't get on with him, and he looks exactly the same.

Heh, I used to work with a Javier and he was a cockgobbler too!

He insisted I pronounced his name "Habbieh!" the cockend. I did my absolute fucking utmost to butcher the fuck out of the pronounciation every single time.

A mate's brother actually got named Javier too, but his mother pronounces it 'Jayveeyear'.

But they're Singaporeans so this kind of nonsense isnt surprising.

Why hasn't he signed the contract that was offered to him about 6 weeks ago then (which removes the buy out clause) ?
