Owen

It does show the astonishing brainlessness of the media. A week ago he was being ridiculed as a washed-up joke, but now, because the mancs want him, he's an exciting legend with amazing potential. It would never have worked that way with us, because the 'sentimental return' would have overshadowed any logical argument. I just dread Ginsoak being hailed as a genius if the amoral little shit scores a few goals for them.

I want Owen to fail at Utd but I can't blame him for going there and I'm actually slightly worried that he'll have a fit half season for them and do some damage.

Next to Valencia, on paper at least though, they are bringing some less than world class talent, which is nice to see.

Owen (free) would be replacing Tevez (loan) if he signs. An impact sub so his hamstrings wont be overworked.

You can be sure though that they will sign a big name to replace Ronalso
Who?

Owen Hargreaves is also rumoured to be retiring so the depth of their squad is evaporating when you consider Giggs, Scholes and Neville are getting on in life.
I honestly dont know. But they have £65m burning holes in their pockets. I'll be surprised if they dont splash a large portion of that.
Who are they going to splash it on? All there targets have gone elsewhere or are staying put.
Ribery and Villa for two, have not gone anywhere. And please dont tell me what Villa and Ribery have said. I heard it before

You may have, and in Ribérys case it may be slightly BS, but Villa is going nowhere but Barca by the looks of it. There is no way in hell that he'll end up with the scum.

..especially against us.

This CANNOT be happening.

Owen going to the Scum?

I've never wished harm to any player before (except Ronaldo).

But if he wears their colours; forgive me, but I hope he does his knee in his very first match.

You're forgiven, Avvy.

Wouldnt it be great if they announce the signing of Owen and during the press conference it breaks that down the M62 we have signed Villa. All the journo's rush out and theres the screeching of tires and Michael turns to Fergie and says in that monotone drone 'I think that went well boss' and Fergie says 'shut up ya wee cunt' and then they both fuck or something...........well maybe not the last bit.

hahaha, I like that story. Other than the fucking which was gratuitous and unnecessary.

This is sickening.

I can just picture that purple horse-fucker at a PC with Owen holding the jersey.

Fuck em Avey. Let him (Fergie) think he's got one up on us, if this is the best he can do after losing Ronaldo and Tevez then I hope it's the dawn of a new era for United.

I don't harbour any hatred for Owen either. He was a fantastic player for us and it really is a great shame the way his career has panned out.

I was happy to take a risk on him last summer, and every summer before that, but I think he's finally run his course at the top level and can't see any value in bringing him back now.

Wonder what Stevie, Carra andthe other Scousers think about this...

...but then they're all still good mates with Shrek, so meh.

Imagine Fergie as Rab.c.Nesbitt ranting and spewing at the training groond 'fuckin run ya's wee shites baa'
Mike Phelan is Jamesey 'oh your so right boss, tell em te dea laps'
and Owen as that slightly retarded son who dresses like his 'da'

my heads a whirl.

And that's the damn truth.

Bearing in mind what everyone has been saying thus far i still believe Liverpool should have made an offer of a basic wage with extras for appearances/goals etc. Get him fit and he'll score goals, if he cant stay fit then its not too big of a loss because there was no fee and wages are low.

He was my favourite player when he was with us and i still have a soft spot for him so it will be very sickening to see him in a united jersey. Having said that, if he joins united, any fondness i had for him will be completely gone.

I thought it was the best part.

I wonder what he would do if we were to offer the same deal... 20,000 a week is pittance these days. Does anyone think a) Rafa would do it and b) Owen would agree to it?

What do the mancs make of this signing? Even if he remains fit Owen and Valencia replacing Ronaldo and Tevez means they are significantly weakened.

Can's get onto that redcafe today, has it finally melted down at the prospect of their team falling apart

I suspect that Owen would have jumped at the chance but I would be shocked if Benitez offered it

It was rumoured a couple of weeks ago that it was offered but turned down. But then it was only a rumour

I woul assume at this stage Owen would consider any more bids as being too late, seeing as though hes having a medical. Personally i need a bit more good news on the transfer front, too much bad news at the minute.

You better believe it boyz.

I told u this lad is a fucking cunt.

Now you know who was right all along.

Hooohoooooo

Michael Owen is on the verge of joining our most hated rivals.

There's been a lot of banter back and forth about whether this move is justified or acceptable.

Put your vote where your mouth is.

Cunt or not?
