They were always going to hammer them (excuse the pun) West Ham are awful.

It’s going to be a season of both teams going to toe to toe. Getting angry every time they thump someone is pointless.

I never expected west ham to win, at best to draw (very low chance at that), but to be blown away by 5 goals and so easily conceding like 4 goals in that 2nd half was horrible to watch. Those cunts never even got out of first gear. But you would expect West Ham to put up a better fight considering the money they have spent.

Nope. It’s like the 4th or 5th time in a row City have put 4 past them there. We did it last season in the opener too

VAR has just shown to be a good tool noone needs to enjoy a game of football.

Clear mistakes is good riddance but none of the episodes seen yesterday was clear at all...

That was always going to be a dodgy criterion to use though. I agree with you about yesterday's incidents, but who's going to make that decision in a game situation?

VAR is here to stay (there's far too much money tied up in it now) but it defo needs to be better thought through.

For all all the var decisions, there was only 5 minutes stoppage time. The actual match time, is game is getting shorter

I reckon the official watching the monitor(s) must clearly be able to say that a decision was an error in real-time. The moment they start looking back at every potential incident or offside by a few cm, things start getting very boring. In that case take the linos and ref out the game. Put a PA system up and let big brother speak throughout a game.

VAR should be a rarity rather than a regularly used tool. And managers really should be given 2 or 3 ‘challenges’ per game. Referees should never be allowed to request VAR. Trust your own judgement you pricks.

VAR is pants. Any and every footy show on TV or radio is VAR this VAR that. The game is ruined.

Emery has gone with 2 or 3 of their young prospects. Willock and Nelson both start.

Pepe and Lacazette on bench

Both these teams look garbage...Newcastle especially, at home against a young Arsenal side.

There have been a few moments of class from Shelvey, but it is so easy to run past him.

I suspect Pepe will come off the bench and score the winner and all Arsenal fans will think they're w inning the league

That is until they get beaten by a half decent fucking side

Reporter : "Ajax fans sing 'Donny another year, another year, Donny another year.' did you hear that?"
Donny Vdb: "Of course I did, I like to hear that, it's better than them signing 'Donny fuck off, Donny fuck off."

And again, a perfectly good Wolves goal disallowed because of VAR coupled with the ridiculous new handball rules. It's unbelievably shit
