Awful night for games, having seen the games the night before you always feel like the undercard, about a hundred games to get anywhere, most against Eastern European pub teams with pitches made of scrap metal & ice, half your league games ending up as Sundays & Monday nights, played with a massive hangover, growing injury list, & to top it all off, financially it's worth buttons in real terms, even winning the fucking thing doesn't equate to the profits of the CL teams simply making the group stage.
Fuck the Europe league, & all who play in her.
I called the Soldado thing. He might come good, but I went to see him about 10 times in Valencia. He's just not great. Massively overpriced.

But given the choice between missing the Europa League & finishing high enough to get into the cl next season with a kitty to bolster the squad o playing in it this season & almost certainly finishing below fourth again I'll always choose the former.
The shitty league cup draw has fucked us up a bit imo though, we could have done with some games to bring in the younger players & fight for first team places.

I suspect the stick he gets on here is aimed less at his ability than at the fact that he's a cnut who's dissed LFC more than once in the past.
I don't think he's underrated. I don't anyone who doesn't think he's a good manager but these days he not getting teams like Bolton within touching distance of the leading pack - he's spending reasonable sums of money at West Ham and not doing anything out of the ordinary with it. So he doesn't really a deserve a higher profile than he has even if you put aside the fact that he's a massive cunt.
It needs to be replaced with the Cup Winners Cup. 2 teams max from each country (ideally the domestic cup winners), and knock out type only. No CL rejects to be admitted in later rounds. Could be held alternative week to CL allowing teams to compete in both competitions.
