There's nothing wrong with taking a yellow for the team, and we're getting better at it

Agree that we are getting better for it. Too long we would allow the counterattack instead of stopping it. Fabs in particular ensures to slow down the play and stop it around the halfway line. It's an unfortunate but real part of the modern game. Especially with fullbacks pressed so high, need to reduce vulnerability to quick counters.

The issue was the Man City (most teams) seemed to get away with it (few were awarded Yellows) more often than not, for some reason. Love the crackdown by PL refs.

I still think there should be a stronger penalty for it though (see Salah). Sin Bins are the answer.

Is Blue Moon forum a Groupthink experiment we aren't aware of? What is wrong with them? RAWK has often acted as a black hole of constant embarrassment to us throughout the years but that was just super fandom and keyboard warriors. Blue Moon seems full of delusional, conspiracy nuts.

Do they receive many e-attacks from online trolls / rivals fans? Surely we can send a few over to wind them up for the international break?

Blue Moon reminded me of George S Patton quote I read elsewhere; 'If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking.'

I suspect part of the problem with that club is that a shedload of their fans generally, hence also "contributors" to their fansites, are spotty teens desperate to belong.

There are so many insecure spastics who seem to have migrated from Reddit who are desperate to tell everyone that they've been Man City fans since "1983", and have only just discovered Blue Fume but have deffo been fans for years, honest, and also used to live in Manchester - not SALFORD - and their favourite players are Georgi Kinkladze and Dennis Tueart.

No, no. no. no. no. NO!

I refer you to the 0-0 draw with Utd at Anfield in December 1989, when the Kop was in full voice singing "Fergie must stay!". Never let them give managers time, may they sack a manager every 12-18 months for the next millenium.

Ole would need help from the actual Saviour from Mankind's past to emulate Ferguson.

And he'd still end up getting crucified.

Bwahahaha - My firends say Man United situation is better drama than Coronation street.

I love this United fans on Reddit bashing their Chairman Ed Woodward "Football Manager" style lol

Sell Fred to Real Madrid for £60m

ED WOODWARD: Hi [Insert manager name here], I saw that you tried to sell Fred to Real Madrid for £60m, I'm sure this was just an error, so I have cancelled the transfer and offered him a 50% pay increase and a five year deal, any problems, please feel free to contact me.

Carefully negotiate a deal for van Dijk from Liverpool
Carefully negotiate a decent contract

ED WOODWARD: Hi [Insert manager first name here], I saw that you tried to buy Virgil van Dijk, but the board doesn't feel that this move is being made with the best interests of the club at heart, as a result, I have cancelled the transfer and have negotiated an offer of £109m + Paul Pogba for Dejan Lovren, I have taken the liberty of adding him to your pre-season training squad and given him Paul's old shirt number, any questions please let me know.

With only a yellow for punishment, teams are foolish if they dont break up play with a foul.

As more teams adopt this approach footballing authorities will have to consider how to stamp it out.

Love that we are doing it more and that City are getting away with it less.

What do you guys think about sin bins? Do you think VAR negates the need for discussing such an idea? Or is the current system ok. I think there is a place for a sin bin espcially if someone commits a technical foul and just gets away with a yellow card. At least the sin bin is somewhat more proportional punishment than a yellow card for a technical foul. The problem will be determining what a technical foul is but thats what VAR could be used for.

Kinkladze was my favourite player. Had the fake news ceefax been right about him replacing McManaman, then we'd have won the league.

Only if we can also have cheerleaders, commercial breaks every time the ball goes out of play, tailgate parties, mandatory gun ownership and a twat as a president.

Haha, I still have the numbers etched into my brain.

Used to come home after school and hit 338 and read all the exciting lies.

Haha Ceefax was awesome. Spent hours on it. And the great days when ya head down to the snooker hall and everybody was watching the score come in on some shitty tv in the corner. Happy times!

324 was the league table , not that it generally made for happy reading during the period I frequented ceefax/Teletext

Better off playing that quiz game on channels 4 system , bamboozle or whatever it was called

Bamboozle was boss. Every morning I'd get up & play bamboozle & then read the excellent Digitiser (the people behind which now do the games section of metro, easily the only good part of that publication).

At the time all that Telitext and ceefax stuff seemed so advanced, my dad still uses the current equivalent because he gets too lost on the internet.
