Open acts of homosexuality

I thought you were gay.
I've never had a problem with gay people.
What made you think that, im not gay just to clarify.
Denial is the first sign of being gay.
My pink bed spread is the second and my take that calender is the third!

Sorry Livv i thought you were being serious!

Fuck, i'm surprised, I believed that most people were really liberal on here, reading through this thread i'm inclined to think otherwise.

I'm against all extreme forms of PDA, e.g dirty dancing/grinding, snogging, gropping asses, etc. But, seeing two people hold hands, embrace, cuddle, or lightly kiss each other makes me feel better about this frequently dreary world.

A persons sexuality doesn't enter my mind, in fact I would be feel a surge of nationalism if I saw two people being openly in public.

Everyone has the write to feel comfortable in modern Britain. (Homophobics aside)

See, I dont get this.

Bex little sister said the other day 'this gay lad in our school'. She's 11.

How the fuck can you be gay at 11?!

And, more fucking importantly, how the fuck can you be ALLOWED to be gay, openly, in school at 11?! I went to an all boys school, & we had a fair few gayers, but there were all well & truly in teh closet, some even convincingly so, until we'd all left, I still only know of 4 who've come out.

They'd have been twatted round every bit of our our school every day had they been camping it up, yet now I'm told in primary schools little lads regularly camp it up & act gay with their mates cos it's on telly.

Now I think I'm fairly liberal, but I find this completely wrong. Like it or not, heterosexuality IS the norm, & is what's socially acceptable, I think such blatant portrayal of homosexuality is incredibly damaging to children.

What a depressingly primitive viewpoint. Do you think that the media is creating little boys who will grow up wanting to fuck other boys? How exactly?

My sister-in-law teaches primary school kids and she reckons there's a lad of 5 who is obviously effeminate, loves dessing up, and is clearly going to be gay. Do you think telly's to blame for him?

You have just 'quiffed' or whatever the term for skipping a thread is- we've already had this story from Rollergirl.

Do you accept the 'gay gene' theory? Or do you think it lies somewhere in between nature and nurture?

Do you accept the 'gay gene' theory? Or do you think it lies somewhere in between nature and nurture?

Sexuality and gender-preference can't be learned or taught. The idea that a perfectly "normal" child can be somehow turned into a gay seems rather odd to me.

How odd that we haven't had many of our religious friends contributing heavily to this thread. I wonder why.

Brendan, are you and RG talking about the same sister-in-law? Seems weird, if you are.
Yes we are, given that we are married. What seems weird about it?

Do you know when you read something back and realise you have fucked up? 🙂

I'll go and edit my post now.

Bren, you are indeed guilty of not reading the thread correctly. I have said precisely the same thing a few posts back.

But in regards to the nature vs nuture thing, i can accept that a child that has been damaged in some way by sexual and/or emotional abuse could turn out to be gay when they might not have done otherwise.

I blame watching Larry Grayson in The Generation Game for my occasional camp moments and love of musicals.

What should we attribute your love of hairdryers to?

It doesn't look good, livvy.

I was only joking about musicals. I really fucking hate them. But I do like clothes and nice things, so maybe we're both just kidding ourselves.

They're busy collecting stones.

I always had a libertarian attitude to homosexuality along the lines that we are all entitled to find fulfilment in our own way.

However, I was once living with a lover in a seedy flat, and a bloke who lived in the flat downstairs had male visitors. There was always a lot of grunting and bumping to be heard from downstairs during the night.

Despite my libertarian views, I confess that the concept of chap-on-chap buggery going on a short distance away was rather disturbing! 😱

Isn't that classed as sodomy?

I think sodomy also applies to chap-on-gal buggery, which is of course perfectly acceptable. Praiseworthy, even.

Is there no difference between the two then? I always thought that buggery was anal intercourse between a man and a woman and sodomy was man on man. Or with an animal.

I'm pretty sure the two words are interchangeable.

Sodomy is of course named after what they did in Sodom. But the Bible doesn't tell us what they did in Gomorrah! 😱

Thanks bleeding red - although anybody over 30 qualifies as "old" on these boards, I am pretty close to the real thing. I have a bus pass, I am to become a grandfather in October, and a few months ago I received £200 winter fuel allowance from the Government!

AND I remember when you could get into Anfield for 15p ..... and still have enough change to buy a pie and a pint ;D

So women get a word of their own, but men and animals have to make do with the same one? That seems unfair.

And surely no human being has ever had ANAL sex with an animal!? Have they?

Well I know hamsters don't like it, and I wouldn't try it on a horse or a chimpanzee either! 😱
