Open acts of homosexuality

Y1 - there is no such thing as 'The norm'
Of course there is.

You are confusing pleasure with procreation.

If human beings have sex solely for pleasure then you argument holds some ground, but not much as the majority is considered "the Norm'. Th emajority are straight.

But as a tool for procreation, only hetrosexual sex works.

We need to procreate to survive as a species, therefore hetrosexuality is 'The Norm'.

Not everyone wants to have children though, so your theory that sex is ultimately for procreation falls flat.

There are plenty of straight people out there who have sex purely for pleasure.

Im not confusing anything V.
Y1 believes you can call homosexual people abnormal. And i dont.
No confusion.

I understand that Marq, in fact most of the time people only have sex for pleasure.

Until the invention of contraception, heterosexual sex purely for pleasure, without resulting in procreation, was an impossibility. So I don't think you can argue that the purpose of sex is not procreation.

I think this thread has killed any chance of anyone ever coming out on here.

as if someone would anyway, more chance of a PL footballer coming out.

Go one Oncey, be the first, was that lovely story on how we met the other day really about a Fella

Errr, a woman is only fertile at certain times of the month, so sex without procreation was possible long before the development of prophylactics.

Jexy, so what you are saying is those of us who think homosexuality is fïne and normal should just stick to the initial question, while those who dont can question all facets of homosexuality?
Are you a republican by any chance?
Ps-i answered the question
I did say stick to the question. I didn't take sides, reread my last post.

If you are asking me if I'm a Republican because you think I'm American - you're wrong.

If you are asking me if I'm a Republican because, in some way, I've intimated anti-monarchy views or something - you're wrong.

If by now you've realised you've misread my post and you've incorrectly guessed my nationality or political views - you're right.

Still wouldn't like to see two guys kissing in the street.

Surely 'those of you that think ..... Should re-read the question' 'before giving us'
Would intimate you believe that its 'those of you' who arent sticking to topic?
No?
So are you a republican?

No, simply meant that the topic was 'reaction to open acts of homosexuality' not the general topic of homosexuality, it's nature or rights.

No I'm not a Republican. Persistence is not always a virtue Oncy, some might call it compounding an error.

I just wanted an answer, i wouldnt have asked again if you had stuck to the topic of the post would i Jex.
;-)

A tory?
*hopes not*

And just to bring it back to topic, I still wouldn't like to see two guys kissing in the street. I wouldn't have to state this again if you had stuck to the topic of the post, would I?.

There you are Oncy, statistically proven the majority is the norm! 😉 We are talking about sexual preference here mate.

Put them all under the bell curve, the extreme ends are gays on one side and those who love shagging animals/corpse etc on the other.

If I am not wrong it is during those fertile period that women look for sex and sexual pleasure more than at other time... statistically, hormonally and scientifically? That is why the chance of survival of the human race increases. More sex, more likelihood of being fertilised. Even we male are attracted to woman during their fertile period. Even with prophylactics, the chances of being fertilised increased as the urgency for sex increases and we all throw caution to the wind during those amorous moments 😉 right?
but abnormal sounds so deformed, s-pastic.... that is not what i want to categorise gays. they are not abnormal but outside the norm statistically
Agreed. If Homosexuality is the norm, we as a human race will be wiped out long ago.
If we accept oral sex (and I know I do) does that also mean the human race will be wiped out, because of course, by your same logic, we can't conceive of everyone not doing the exact same behavior, or displaying a variety of behavior.

If you throw a ten sided dice, is it abnormal that it arrives on the number 3, for instance? It's less likely than it landing on any number but three, but is it abnormal.

Now lets say we see similar results in the natural world, and sociological evidence of this unlikely result occuring throughout recorded history.

Your logic relies on a norm that doesn't include variety. That norm is simply not consistent with the world in which we live.
