Open acts of homosexuality

Until the invention of contraception, heterosexual sex purely for pleasure, without resulting in procreation, was an impossibility. So I don't think you can argue that the purpose of sex is not procreation.
Hahaha. That is laughable. Chimps and many monkeys (especially Bonobos) even have sex for pleasure, as do countless other animals, you must not have much faith in our species when we find less harrowing places to live.

Agreed. If Homosexuality is the norm, we as a human race will be wiped out long ago.
If we accept oral sex (and I know I do) does that also mean the human race will be wiped out, because of course, by your same logic, we can't conceive of everyone not doing the exact same behavior, or displaying a variety of behavior.
It would if no one ever had intercourse again, pretty obvious!

we all throw caution to the wind during those amorous moments 😉 right?
That is our tragedy, Y1. From the greatest to the humblest, we chaps can't help following where our willies lead us.

I speak from bitter experience. 🙁
well some say our brain stop functioning when our penis is erect. we are all led by an unthinking willy! 😉

Not everyone wants to have children though, so your theory that sex is ultimately for procreation falls flat.

There are plenty of straight people out there who have sex purely for pleasure.
Errr, a woman is only fertile at certain times of the month, so sex without procreation was possible long before the development of prophylactics.
If I am not wrong it is during those fertile period that women look for sex and sexual pleasure more than at other time... statistically, hormonally and scientifically? That is why the chance of survival of the human race increases. More sex, more likelihood of being fertilised. Even we male are attracted to woman during their fertile period. Even with prophylactics, the chances of being fertilised increased as the urgency for sex increases and we all throw caution to the wind during those amorous moments 😉 right?
you been watching Species ????
do we need to watch anything to prove our own experience? 😉

If you throw a ten sided dice, is it abnormal that it arrives on the number 3, for instance? It's less likely than it landing on any number but three, but is it abnormal.

Now lets say we see similar results in the natural world, and sociological evidence of this unlikely result occuring throughout recorded history.

Your logic relies on a norm that doesn't include variety. That norm is simply not consistent with the world in which we live.
Well if homosexuality is the preferred norm for sexual pleasure and procreation, won't that have wiped out the human race or that we become the minority of species. Maybe the lions and the elephants or the tigers and crocs will be the dominant species as their norm is heterosexual. By sheer number (through heterosexual activities) and higher intelligience, we have become dominant I think.

Now I think I'm fairly liberal, but I find this completely wrong. Like it or not, heterosexuality IS the norm, & is what's socially acceptable, I think such blatant portrayal of homosexuality is incredibly damaging to children.
I'm with Jon on this. Homosexuality is fine if you are that way inclined, but it is not, I repeat not 'the norm.'

If it was, the human race would have died out years ago. The PC brigade are trying to make it so.

Do what you want behind closed doors, but do not try to convince me it is 'normal'.

Oh and open acts would make me uncomfortable. I have met a few practicing homosexuals and they had no more desire to play tonsil tennis in public than straights. It's all a question of manners.
Agreed. If Homosexuality is the norm, we as a human race will be wiped out long ago.

In public, I will not react to kissing and cuddling by straights or gays, but anything beyond is a no no... straights or gays. Public decency and all that stuff...
Agreed. AIDS would kill us all.

Oh this thread so had to make the Vault!

If someone quiffed it though, it'd appear that the thread had stayed on topic.

The Three Muzketeers have properly got it in for me. I bet they swap e-mails about me as well.

Hahahaha!

This thread is fucking *genius*!

And I know I'm quoting myself, but I *bossed* this thread

Yours is lasting quite a while

This thread is chock full of zingers!

Sorry!

It is a classic, though

The timing of Fox's entry was particularly ace, as was poor Dreamy's very confused contributions

Where did poor little Ali go, I wonder?

And angry Hamaan?
It is very good. The thing i noted is how far the Skully and Anita relationship has come from those days. Oh and Hamaan was a total cock in this thread.
My favourite post was Hardcastles in the middle to try and calm Anita down, it made me laugh a lot then i read further and noticed that i liked it then aswell.

*is scared*

Ha Ha,
Just discovered this thread!! It all got a bit Rascist/ Religious in the middle!!

But i thought i would throw in my 2 cents worth, being the only openly gay(albeit female) on the forum as far as i know!!

With regards to Ali and the whole 'why would people to choose to be gay' - believe me it is not a choice i would have made, i have been verbally abused due to my sexuality, discriminated against, disowned by my own mother. I have even tried to do the straight thing, I was miserable, it is simply not for me.

It wasnt a choice i made, i had no choice.

With regard to kids being 'turned gay' by gayness on the TV, i dont see how, if you are attracted to members of the same sex then you are, i dont think any amount of Graham Norton, Gok Wan, on the TV is going to change the chemical balance in your brain, and make you want to sleep with people of the same sex, again this is strictly my point of view!!

With regard to gays not being allowed to get married or adopt, well i wouldnt personally get married cos the thought of two brides makes me cringe a little bit, ala the lebsian wedding in friends!! But i do love my girlfriend very much, and a ceremony to cement that love, wouldnt be out of the question. But again if gays want to get married i see no reason why they shouldnt??

The adoption thing is a slightly different issue - not because i would be scared of the child turning gay - as has been suggested in this thread!! but because of the views of some of the homophobic idiots in this thread - i cant help what i am, and therefore, i expect an amount of abuse, and can deal with it, im not sure i could live with my children going through the same thing, through no fault of there own.

Anyway - these are just my views, you probably wont agree, but i thought i might be a bit more qualified than others to throw my views in!!

As for the Religion and Rascism, i dont want to get involved in that stuff :-*
