Thoughts and prayers for your mate, you and your other mates, Avvy.

As for the OOT business, the distinction's often meaningless anyway. For example, I've lived most of my life away from Liverpool but I was born and spent my first few years there. The guy sitting next to me at Anfield might be someone who was born in Timbuctoo but moved to Liverpool some years ago. Which of us is an OOTer and which not? Did anybody bother about all this in the Ataturk Stadium when the fans raised their voices and helped to create a miracle?
I think my point has slightly digressed into an OOTer debate - which it's not meant to be. I like OOTers coming to Anfield that's without doubt. My point is - the club we love would not exist if the city didn't. I just find those people who claim to support the club and seem to revel in slagging the city off are two faced. See past the bricks and mortar for a minute and look at the people wh inhabit it. For the majority, they're a warm and friendly lot. As Plato said "This City is what it is because our citizens are what they are"

And I'm not having for one minute LFC had no local support until they won things - that's just daft.

I've spoken about one of my Red mates with cancer, and that a bunch of us (Reds and Scum) had planned to go down to Singapore for the friendly game in July because this mate of mine was a MAD Red and this was probably his last chance to see us.

He died yesterday.

We're all still going, because he would have wanted us to.
Sorry for your loss avvy, your trip to singapore to see LFC will be a fitting tribute your friend. Can i be a bit forward and suggest a banner with his name on it!!!

The club will need to update it's official history book then Sunny.

What the club had NO support until it won something ? I don't understand what you're saying Ross. We won the Lancashire league in 1892 did we not? Please, explain more.

Sorry to hear that Avvy, RIP.

The oot debate is never really mentioned on here because we all love this club. Its pointless getting into it, but that was a great post in repost to Ryan Sean.

Oncy you big OOT'er! :-*

It's always going to be a problem for us in terms of attracting and retaining players that Liverpool is such a fucking shitehole.
Don't ever call our city a shithole, you cheeky fucking cunt. Considering where they're originally from, living in a 2 million quid mansion in Woolton (one of the nicest areas in the country) must be like paradise. Not to mention the fact that most players live in the Cheshire stockbroker belt these days.

How many top class players have we have struggled to retain by the way? If any want to leave it won't be because of the City, and more to do with cultural reasons. Daft twat.
Eat my 'whoosh' you thick cunt.

You've been here all of 5 seconds and you're lauding around like the worst 'real fan' cunt imaginable. Tone it down.

Thanks Avvy, and my condolences also.

The more intelligent amongst you realised I was taking the fucking piss. With Sheik getting it spot on. There was even a token gesture "-runs-" at the bottom of it, that you seem to have casually ignored.

Sunny, wind your neck in. I couldn't give a shit.

no local support until they began winning things.

I wonder who my dad went to the game with when Liverpool were in the 2nd division. It's kind of uncomfortable to know he was sneaking in under some strange mans mac. I think you may be overstating your case, were people flying in from London and Sweden in the early days to watch Liverpool?

Don't ever discredit our city again, you little fuckstick. Or feel free to fuck off and devote your internet support to one of the more glamour clubs and cities.

Ryan was taking the piss to get a rise out of people. And by the looks of it he succeeded. So on that note, Mascher for Eto'o.........

I wonder why there's no similar claims for less succesful clubs.

Come on, I know he's your mate and a regular, but he knew what he was doing and there's obviously a deep rooted resentment there.

I've also been told he's from Ireland, so therefore should know better than to throw outdated stereotypes and mistruths around.

We're hardly mates and the fact he's a regular has got nothing to do with it. He's winding you up and you bit.

Are you getting me mixed up with someone else? I was just responding to Fark's comment about his dad.

BTW you might want to invest in a sense of humour if you're going to post regularly on here.

I don't buy it. He knew the reaction he'd get, and was probably watching it unfold while touching himself.

I doubt he'd stand for any outlandish piss takes about Ireland. They do tend to get a bit touchy about all that.
