Funnily enough it seemed to be the other way round at Southampton. When I saw Lovren play for them I thought he looked more assured when he went up for corners (scored the winner against us at Anfield that season if I remember rightly) than when he was back defending. Go figure.

Our corner kicks are beyond poor...we can have 9 Bentekes and we still would struggle to score from the shite corners we take....

We were mostly shite from corners in those days too. Do you remember how under Rafa we used to waste corners by taking them short, then passing it to a player in an offside position? People used to hate when Gerrard took corners in particular, only in 13-14 he genuinely did a good job on them. We also had Carra who couldn't head the ball into the frame if his life depended on it. Hyypia was a threat though...
