You can’t be real? Team bus short trips like Manchester. First class train like London. Anywhere more than 2.5 hours they go by plane.

Meh.

What if it's bang on 2.5hrs? do they flip a coin?

But taking in the conditions and with major airlines cancelling hundreds of flights these past few weeks, for safety reasons team bus would've been the better option.

Well I'm not the logistics guy at Liverpool am I, how would I know after what distance they decide to fly in.

They could easily have got on the team bus overnight (Friday)

you should send your C.V. to the club and a link to this thread, you could be their guy

Hahahahahaha.

I fucking love binerrrrmial, Treboeth, bluebellend and all that lot - it's great having a few fresh mongs to enjoy
Don`t worry we enjoy reading posts from educationally sub-normal people like you.
I get some retards who spout shit in the back of my taxi but you make me realise they are just amateurs.

It's horrible, windy, grey and rainy outside, so let's stay indoors and cuddle up with some warm and comforting RAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTIIIIIINNNNGSS!!!!!!!

Norwich didn't really look like a team rooted to the bottom of the table; there was plenty of clever, inventive play on display, with some genuinely good chances created, and wasted. Indeed, the sharp midfield interplay between Cantwell and Mclean was causing a few problems. But, as ever, Liverpool found a way to win, the grinding inevitability of another 3 points - and a frankly ridiculous 25 point lead - secured when the genius of Mane was introduced, and scored the winner after another glorious Henderson long pass.

Alisson (8) Only one goal conceded in the last three months. Perhaps a bit fortunate with one effort off the post, but showed just what a magnificent custodian of the goal he is with a swiped clearance with one giant, bear-like paw when prostrate and Norwich clean through. Just incredible and the best keeper we have had for decades. He is that good right now.

TAA (5) Tried a lot of his now signature long, cross-field balls, but his delivery was a bit erratic and he was guilty of some slack decision-making. Got a bit sharper as the game went on, but this was pretty ordinary by his usual standards.

Gomez (6) Decent display and not overly busy, but again seemed a bit uncertain under the long ball, however he was largely untroubled.

Virgil (6) Unruffled, and didn't have to be at his very best, but still helped to deliver another clean sheet.

Robertson (6) Full of energy and worked hard. Not given that much space or opportunity to cross, but delivered at least one beauty in a display of pleasing indefatigability, without quite the final ball.

Henderson (7) Looked a bit sluggish at times in a first half of wasted opportunities, but he gradually took control to be the most impressive midfield player, and delivered two quite glorious long passes that took the breath away, one of which Mane snaffled up to grab the points.

Wijnaldum (5) An insipid display, he was never sharp or brave enough with the ball, and was AWOL for long periods, before popping up again to "keep things moving along". Average.

Keita (5) The desperation for Keita to be great is palpable in certain sections of our fans. So any sinuous run that leads nowhere, or shot saved by the keeper, is considered another sign that he's a marvellous player and will be awesome. Yeah. Nah. Didn't do enough, and missed a fucking sitter. And still shits himself way too often and is indecisive in possession. Needs to do far, far more, far, far more consistently and frequently.

Chamberlain (5) Worked hard, but produced almost nothing in an advanced wide role. Mane showed what we expect and need when he came on and won the game

Salah (6) Another who buzzed around with his usual pace, skill and close control, but all too often made the wrong choice or held onto the ball too long, despite causing trouble and pulling their defence hither and thither.

Firmino (6) Flashes of his coruscating control and vision, as he tried to orchestrate our attacks, and his usual work rate, but his efforts where a bit wasted, and then he wasted his own chance, missing an open goal from 2 yards.

Subs:

Fabinho (6) Looked far better than his previous few dismal outings, and helped solidify the spine of the team

Mane (8) Best player scores goal. Normal service resumed.

I love the goals Mane scores. I'm not saying he's better than Salah but I do much prefer that brutal, ruthless efficiency of his goals.

That one yesterday just summed him up. Oh and the one against Burnley a couple of years ago. And that amazing pinged drive against City.

He's just fantastic.

He kind of strikes like an angry cobra.

Ian Wright was like that.

I'm neither pro nor anti keita, but I think rating him as only as average as ox or gini yesterday is unfair. The latter two didn't seem to exist. Keita did some good stuff. Yes he completely fucked up a sitter but he made some ace runs and got past dudes with the ball a few times. Not great, but not total shit either.

...am I right in thinking that (mathematically) one more win qualifies us for the Champions League next season? 😎

I thought this too, he did well going forward and he broke up alot of their attacks too. Trent on the other hand was rated highly by the commentators during the game, which seemed to be just based on the fact he saw alot of the ball, even though it didn't equate to anything.

Of course it is unfair. While the OP has some interesting posts, there is a tendency to negativise (is that a word?) a player, and to belittle those who would try to counter that. We all want the best for Liverpool - while elements of Keita's game are frustrating, he clearly has attributes that can raise our level as a team even beyond what we have now. For that he deserves patience, and if some are looking too hard for every positive sign, that is surely better than jumping on everything that is negative.

Ah it’s all about opinions. None of it is fact.
It’s interesting to read what folk think about players’ performances, but ultimately, all I care about is what Klopp thinks and how well the tram does. Klopp clearly sees something in Keita that he values highly. That’s good enough for me.
Do I think he’s an amazing footballer? Not at the moment. But I do think he has the ability and potential to be a starter in our eleven for years to come
