Except Ange has signed a 4 year deal.
And you know has won 5/6 trophies in 2 years overturning a 25 pt league loss and inheriting an aging side at the end of its cycle, refreshing it to the bsck drop of a fan base who wanted him sacked. And his teams play superb attacking football and is anything but safe hands.
He’s nothing like what Roy was when he took us over.

Originally was 2yr deal touted when I posted but signed 4yr deal, well since your reply 4 days later
anyway.
Let’s see how he does, keep hearing about how amazing he was and the football he played but from what I remember, his Aussie side played turgid slow footy. Never seem so much fan fare for a manager in his mid 50s who has never managed in a a league of note. Let’s just wait till how he does, Roy of the Spurs for now…

@StevieM seems the big man hasn’t forgotten or that Ryan was probably the cause.

Zebras are to him what Spurs were to Jose and Conte.

I once watched Whittlesea Zebras play Melbourne Victory in a friendly when O’Hare was playing for them - my only memory was of O’Hare yelping when Kevin Muscat booted him up in the air.

It’s entirely possible Ange was managing them at the time.

Also - I wasn’t aware Scott Munn had been appointed Spurs Chief Football Officer - be dead funny if he still has the same mobile number - it’s still in my phone from his days as Chief Exec of Melbourne Heart/City.

I should get drunk and call it sometime…

He won a major trophy with Australia and qualified for a WC but ya the talent pool in Australia makes attractive football difficult at the best of times.
If and ifs a big if he’s given time he’ll do extremely well there imo.
I’d back them for the league cup and top 6.

Cashed out by Christmas.

He should do pretty well there. I was in favour of signing him but it looks like we're in for some decent alternatives, so best of luck to him.

That God that guy from Leicester is signed up, I am fearful of him being an FSG freebe type and he would end up with us as the 3rd mudfielder. Glad he is off the market !!!

BREAKING - Man Utd trigger €60m release clause for Kim Min-Jae, who is yet to complete his military service.

They have applied to the South Korean government to allow Harry Maguire to complete it on his behalf.

One minger for another. Sounds fair.

Tielemans is decent but far from being as good as people hype him up. Villa should be about his level

I think he was good at one time but never kicked on. No surprise they got relegated. Maybe got satisfied, complacent or whatever but his performances at Leicester this season, alongside most others, have been far below expectations— similar to those of this site’s favourite 🙂

[article]Liverpool great Steven Gerrard is a target for the Saudi Pro League.

The former Aston Villa manager is ready to jump back into management this summer.

Leeds United and Leicester City have been mentioned as potential destinations.

But Reuters says Saudi club Al-Ettifaq wants Gerrard as new coach.

And Gerrard is open to a move to Saudi Arabia. He is now considering the offer from Al-Ettifaq.[/article]

NEW : Former Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow has stepped down from his position as the CEO of Aston Villa after five years at the club. #lfc [liverpool echo]

Did ok for us didn't he by being the lead instigator behind H&G fucking off & his last masterstroke at Villa was appointing Emery.

Gerrard would be mad not to go. Stupid money, and can hone his craft if he wants to

Pep should fuck off to psg. Only place he'd have stupid money

Now? Gerrard's got plenty of time yet. Going now would be unwise and ill-advised.

Pep would not go to Italy because there is no 1 club that holds all the money, it would be far too competitive for him to win the scudetto whichever of the big 5-6 clubs he goes....the fucking fraud will stay at City or go to PSG.
