Very pleased at the result. The Americans acquitted themselves well and, while disappointed, should feel proud of themselves. With luck, this exposure will help continue to grow the game south of the border. I love the friendly rivalry with the Americans and was very impressed with them this tournament.
Great game from Team Canada and very gutsy manner in which they composed themselves to regain the momentum after that late American equalizer. Lesser teams would have collapsed. Congrats to Crosby for scoring a very good goal to win it. However, I am not looking forward to all the unnecessary Crosby nuthugging to come over the next few weeks. He was mediocre in this tournament overall. Certainly one of the best two or three players in the world, but barring one brilliant moment was not much of a factor at these games.
So impressed with Toews, Nash, Richards, and Doughty. Brilliant. I have plenty of hometown pride for Jonathan Toews, as he grew up about five minutes away from me (several years younger though).
Overall, I think the Vancouver Olympics were a success (embarrassing closing ceremony aside, from what I've been told) and Canada did fantastically well to set a new record for Gold medals in a winter Olympics and finish third overall.

In the UK we order the medal table in order of Golds won, rather than total medal haul- so we had Canada top.
Really enjoyed the hockey final. Canada came out in the added time and played fantastically.
