Horrenderson

I gave him plenty of stick, yes. But in fairness, he actually has developed into what I predicted he could be at his very best: a 6 or 7 out of 10 player who delivers high-energy, OK-to-good performances consistently.

Of course, the controversy and disagreements about Henderson's qualities still persist, and he'll never be the sort of game-changing, world class player that some seeme dto think he might be, or should be. But was never going to be.

I haven't banned him is as such..

Banning is probably too strong a word..

I've just given everyone a break from him albeit temporarily and an enforced break for him... He is taking over every thread.. It's becoming exhausting..

Yep, barnished is probably what you're thinking about.

I don't really have any current hate campaigns going on. Lucas doesn't play unless everyone's injured or it's a reserve team.

Obviously Sakho and Mignolet aren't good enough and we need to replace them, but they've had several very good performances in among the catastrophes. Even Lallana - nobodies idea of a £25m footballer - has had some sound displays.

I think this is the Klopp effect - optimism. Obviously I'm under no delusions that unless we spend £100m plus and bring in at least four new first team players, we won't ever challenge, but let's see what happens in summer.

If anything, I'm going the other way - while I may not be as quick as most to claim Origi is going to save us £30m in the trabsfer market, because I don't think he will ever be a reliable enough finisher, or think Stewart - like most of out reserves and youth players - won't make it at Liverpool - I seem to be one of the few willing to say they quite like Milner, Moreno, even poor Benteke.

Your support for Benteke is quite confusing.

You also seem to be leaving shitnames to Skully.

It's not support as such. He hasn't done much since he arrived to justify any. I just think he's a decent player and a useful striker. I'm more bemused. Bemusement turning to frustration and despair when I remember he cost us £32m.

Hahaha Klopp's turned you into his belieber.

No, I haven't really changed my opinion on any player because of Klopp. Apart from not hating Joe Allen as much, maybe. And that's probably because he hasn't started many games and also Rodgers not being there is a good thing for Allen and my dislike of him.

And I don't think we can target anything higher than 5th maybe, unless Klopp's given a lot of money to spend on changing the first team. It isn't good enough, regardless of who the manager is.

But I'm more optimistic about Liverpool under Klopp, because he's a far better manager than Rodgers

Before his injury he was much more than a 7 out of 10 player, he was very good indeed, certainly not world class, but one of the better midfielders in the league. The question now is if he can recover that form after these injuries.

In terms of strengths, yes he is in a different league to Rodgers by every conceivable measure. But in terms of their weaknesses (the stupid personalities, obsession with self-image, hatred of players for no reason, schizophrenia, etc.), Klopp appears to have all of those to a much greater degree than Rodgers.

It's ok for now because things are going well. Once they go badly, I am expecting a pretty spectacular collapse.

I think Klopp's personality is a strength - he has genuine charisma and self-belief, which is not at all forced. Not sure what you mean about his hatred of certain players or schizophrenia.

As for his self-image, come on he's fucking German. And often looks like he's done a trolley-run in the club shop and worn whatever he came out with.

After the match he presents himself as calm and collected, the way Benitez used to be. But during the actual game, especially when Reus scored, he completely lost his shit and was screaming at Clyne. He does that a lot, his reactions on the pitch are completely different to how he believes he reacted afterwards.

Maybe he gets all carried away and emotional during the actual game, and then is much calmer and rational otherwise? That wouldn't be so odd.

It's the extent to which he does it that is odd. For example, most people argue with their wife at home, then will open doors for them in public. That's normal. But with Klopp, the analogy is him beating the shit out of his wife at home, then have her silently walk behind him in public. It's scary, disturbing even.

His regular spats and "episodes" with rival managers, referees, linos and media people was well known in Germany. I suppose he could be described as slightly eccentric or passionate or emotional. That's all OK with me. Football needs more characters and interesting people.

And there is a certain genuine sincerity to him, he isn't "fake". Which is why he's quite a popular figure in football, even among rival fans. That's all going to change here obviously, as everyone will start to hate him as soon as it looks like he might win something with Liverpool.

Dantes: what utter nonsense. There are times and places where it's OK to let rip, and times/places where it isn't. Most adults know and can accommodate the difference, and Klopp is one of them.

Opposition benches have already tried to have a pop at him to unsettle him. Unfortunately for them he's 6'4" of couldn't-give-a-f*** German (as you've already indicated) so they've got nowhere fast.

Pardew. That fucker. Which made his 10-on-the-Richter scale reaction to the Benteke penalty decision recently all the funnier.

One of the biggest differences between Klopp and Brendan (Rodgers), is that Klopp has the ability to change the flow of the game during the game. Brendan seemed to have one plan when approaching the game and stuck to it throughout.

That's the worst analogy ever.

Of course. I don't care how much he screams at our players, what I'm saying is that during the game he blamed a player for the goal and took it out on that player. So his reaction was anger. After the match he didn't just "say the right things" like other fake managers, he kind of changes his personality and invents an entirely new reaction, then talks about that. It's hard to explain. Other managers just make shit up. Klopp isn't lying, but giving a genuine answer to events which never took place the way he now sees them. That's the disturbing part.

Well, I don't think that gives him nearly enough credit. He isn't so emotional that he becomes such a total stranger to reality. I reckon his post-match statements are a lot more calculated than you think, and calibrated a lot more carefully to the demands of the situation.

I don't know, there's been a few times when I thought he could have reacted quicker.

I still vacillate between Rosco levels of disdain for managers and tactics and just uncertainty

But I'm not sure that Klopp's real strength is that tactical iPad twattery that someone like Mourinho, Benitez and Van Gaal play up. Pretty sure Klopp has admitted as much himself, which is why he has 'the brains' with him, and 'the eyes', whatever those two fellas names are

His talent is personality, leadership, charisma, drive and belief. Seems to be more about those type of things than your more cerebral Benitez student of football types

Heavy metal football is quite apposite
