5m is a brilliant price. Good negotiating by us if true.

Indeed that is where I would see him in these inflated times we live in - the £4m-£5m bracket

Dong-Won is one of a clutch of strikers being pursued by Sunderland boss Steve Bruce as he looks to strengthen his threadbare attack.

Fraizer Campbell’s long-term knee injury, Darren Bent’s departure to Aston Villa in January and the return of on-loan Danny Welbeck to Manchester United has left Bruce with £13m record buy Gyan as his only frontman as things stand.

And Bruce wants to bring in three more frontmen over the summer to fill the gaps.

Sunderland have already agreed a £3m fee with Liverpool for French striker David N’Gog, but the 23-year-old is currently stalling to see if there is any other interest from elsewhere.

Bruce is also considering a £9m bid for Ipswich Town hot property Connor Wickham.

And the figure gets lower and lower...

Dong-Won and n'gog...the sunderland woman are going to be walking with a limp.

I like Ngog, he's comes acorss as a decent guy, he works hard and seems to have real desire for the game, but he's not good enough, not for us anyway. But where ever he goes I really hope things work our for him.

LIVERPOOL will get £5million for David Ngog as he completes his move to Sunderland this week.

And that will effectively reduce the fee for Jordan Henderson to £11m.

Ngog was unable to tie up his move to the North-East as part of the Henderson transfer because he was on holiday.

But the deal is expected to be finalised in the coming days.

Bruce – who has also offered Blackpool’s David Vaughan a contract – has agreed deals to sign Larsson, Coventry keeper Keiren Westwood and South Korean striker Ji Dong-Won.

Talks are continuing with Manchester United aimed at bringing Darron Gibson, Wes Brown and John O’Shea to Wearside.

And Liverpool are trying to reach an agreement over a loyalty bonus in David Ngog’s contract before the French striker can complete his switch to the Stadium of Light.

Meanwhile, Sunderland’s interest in Liverpool striker David Ngog is in doubt as they struggle to match the player’s wages. Ngog is due a pay hike to £40,000-a-week this summer because of a clause in his contract when he signed from PSG in 2008 and Sunderland are reluctant to match those terms.

The money men and Rafa right fucked up our club with all these rubbish players earning big money for doing sweet nothing! :-[

That's how you ruin a club!

Yes but you have to remember Roland, we'd have got our money back so it's ok! Rafa's biggest legacy to the club, the players he bought were hardly ever sold at a loss. Everyone's a winner!

I'm not in denial about Rafa's legacy because I was a big supporter of his but these ridiculous wages that we've been paying average players who we battle to move on.

Is it really Rafa that's responsible for the wages?
Of course Rafa must accept some responsibility in wanting them to join but does he also sit and discuss wages with the players(s)?

Bolton boss Owen Coyle is ready to swoop for Liverpool striker David Ngog in a surprise £4million raid.

Coyle wants Ngog to give his attack new pace and fire and hopes to do a deal with Kop chief Kenny Dalglish after the pacy forward turned down a move to Sunderland.

The flying Frenchman did not fancy being part of the Jordan Henderson deal, saying he wanted to stay at Anfield.

But although the 22-year-old has played and scored in pre-season games, he knows he is on his way out of Merseyside.

Coyle thinks Ngog would be an ideal addition especially as he may be quicker to answer his call than Barcelonas Spanish under-21 attacker Jeffren Suarez.

Thrash

Wanderers agreed a £5m fee with Barca for Jeffren last week but the player and his father have yet to agree to the move and Coyle is running out of patience.

The Trotters chief would take Ngog and Jeffren, but he may take the Anfield fringe man first if he can thrash out terms in the next few days.

Liverpool have been offering Ngog to other clubs for around £6m but may lower the price for a quick deal and then it will be down to the player to agree terms.

Coyle is looking to sign Ngog as his chances of bringing Daniel Sturridge back on loan from Chelsea are receding.

Blues chief Andre Villas-Boas is likely to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

I doubt Coyle will value Cahill at 9m

He has a year left, but OK £10 Million. Still a good deal.

I'd be impressed with that deal

Hopefully means we could get rodallega sorted too

If we could get those two, we'll have had a magnificent summer.

BUT we did miss out on that famous unknown foreign cheap left winger!

David NGOG is pleading with Liverpool to let him move to Owen Coyle’s BOLTON in a deal before the big kick-off.

The French striker has met the Kop heirarchy to state his case as he feels his £4.5million valuation is costing him a chance of Premier League football.

Ngog knows that he is only a squad player behind Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll and he fancies a crack at joining Coyle’s attack and playing a lot more than he will on Merseyside.

The speedy forward is so keen that he may even be willing to take a pay cut just to get his career back on track after a frustrating time at the Kop.

Ngog’s wish to move may have to be granted fast as Bolton are in talks with Birmingham for striker Cameron Jerome and close to agreeing a fee of about £3m plus extras.

Jerome has seen a move to Fulham fall through because of price, while Leicester City are also keeping tabs. The Foxes would pay more than their Premier League rivals but the striker wants to play at the top level.

I'd rather keep him.

No one's going to pay 5 million for him, and there's a lot more issues in our ranks to settle before bringing in another striker.

Besides, with our purchase record this wondow we'd just end up paying 17 million for Darius Vassell
