I thought he was alright, nothing out of the ordinary. Rice are not a good team, and they led going into the 2nd quarter. It wasn't convincing from Texas. Like Florida, they can only get better mind. Big 12 looked iffy this weekend. Oklahoma, DeMarco Murrey aside, didn't impress at all. Kendall Hunter went fucking batshit for the Cowboys though, averaging over 12 yards a carry. They look a threat, especially as Texas and Oklahoma's defences looked a mess. Longhorns have Oklahoma and Ok St at home this year though. That trip to Nebraska is looking like trouble though. Final Big 12 clash between them, and MArtinez was hot at the weekend.

I will be pleasantly surprised if the Longhorns make it to any of the big bowl games this year. I thought Oklahoma will but not on weekend's showing. If Boise win tonight, I think they will or should make it to the National Championships.

Jimbo Fisher and Christian Ponder must be watching that tape and thinking they have a decent chance. That Seminoles team is good anyway. But you have to fancy the Sooners will only get better. Their squad is loaded going both ways.

If they win, and they beat Oregon State on smurf turf in week three (which they will), then they'll be ranked pretty high (although the computers won't like their weak late sked). But any AQ teams who go unbeaten will go to Glendale before them. I like to think that they'll be ranked ahead of any one loss BCS sides if they're unbeaten, but sometimes you don't know. They started high in the rankings this year, which is new. Several good seasons, coupled with their two brilliant Fiesta Bowl wins, and I think they're seen as legit across the board. Which should help them late in the season.
