NFL Regular Season Thread 2010

Every time I look at our schedule I have us winning one less game than the last time I went through it. I'm down to two.

I'm already praying that Parcells is leaving Miami because he wants to fix another bodged team.

Saints 14 Vikings 9.

Favre looked rusty. Saints won but not that impressive. Still a good victory.

You reckon you'll win on Sunday?

We should score some points, but if Cutler can get off some throws he'll have a field day.

Delmas and Levy are both big losses.

I hate Jay Cutler. I hope Suh twists his wig.

What's with the Thursday night season opener anyway ?

Are Sky determined to ruin every single fucking sport ?

;D

Sky. The nefarious cunts.

Yanks have been Thursdaying it for about ten years now. Networks love them some football on Thursdays. Monster ratings.

Has opening day ever been on a Thursday ?

It seems stupid, fair enough during the season. But wouldn't it be better to have everyone start on Sunday ?

Lolzers at Ross' rant.

And although I have Ravens in the sweepstakes, I'm going to support the team I supported when I was younger.

Go Niners!

It's been on a Thursday since 2002.

They're not allowed to have professional football matches on Fridays or Saturdays (until the playoffs), so if they want extra televised matches it has to be Thursday/Monday.

Nice game between WVU and their interstate rivals Marshall last night. WVU had a 9-0 record against Marshall. In the fourth quarter
Marshall led 21-6. Then a fumble which led to a 96 yeard drive touchdown by WVU. They followed that by a 98 yeard drive touchdown when there was 12 seconds to go. A two point conversion by WVU to tie the game at 21-21. In OT, WVU get 3 points from the kick and Marshall missed theirs. Morgantown went crazy last night. Off to watch the steelers falcons on Sunday.

I'll watch that game later. Sounds good.

Massive games today. Penn State-Bama and Miami-Ohio St live on ESPN back to back. Stanford-UCLA also on much later, if anyone fancies seeing Andrew Luck, who is going to be a fucking megastar.

Some guy on NFL network has predicted wins for the Rams, Lions and Browns. Apparently it's the first time in the shows history it has happened.

He'll be wrong of course.

I don't think he will, mate. I've gone for that trio myself in Whaddapie's predictions thread.

Rubbish game between Saints and Vikes. I could have handled losing but neither side played well at all. Vikings better be up for it at home! My tickets weren't cheap and I demand entertainment!

Hokies loose at home to James Madison. Kansas upset Georgia Tech.

Getting ready for Penn - Bama and Wyoming - Texas

I don't know what the hell VA-Tech were doing there. James Madison? Fuck about. They'll drop out of the 25 after that, which will hatefuck Boise's national game plans. At least the Bronocs have Oregon St next week to remind everyone.

my prediction for the 'boys ... We may have one of the most talented teams (not THE Whaddapie! 🙂 Just one of the!) but I just don't see us really going much farther than last year. We should win the division, we should be one of the best teams but the questions I had last year are still there sadly enough (Wade & Romo in crunch time etc)

I wouldn't be surprised if a shananan inspired skin team beat us

Yeah, I think the 'Skins could do something this season too.
[/quote]

I don't know if I'll go that far - I can see them 7-9 or 8-8 but 'something' as in playoff run I highly doubt it. They play in one of the, if not the, best divisions in football.

I was thinking getting to the playoffs, which counts as "doing something" for that team. After that it's anyone's guess, but you're probably right about their overall chances.

Absolute fucking disgrace.

was it a clean hit on poster boy matt?

Yes that was fine.

Then however without doubt the worst call I have ever seen in my life when we won the game. It's not even being biased. It's fucking unbelievable.

Steelers really missed Big Ben today but won against the Faclons in OT.

Colts lost to the Texans.

Titans looked good.
