NFL Regular Season Thread 2010

Romo out, broken left clavicle.

Our hopes lie with John fucking Kitna. There goes the neighborhood.

Please give Magee a chance.

I feel for you lot, Cowboys fans. My boys are only slightly less terrible right now if it helps.

(Cowboys need tackling practice for sure. A few first downs might help too.)

Karl - McGee sucks. Give him a game after we're 1-9 or so.

Season is now officially over. Wade Phillips will be gone, and I just PRAY that Jason Garrett is fired too. He's shit.

Boys go to one and five and Romo's season ended. That's a pretty good day right there in casa Golgotha.

Although it does spell the end for Wade, so the fun times may be coming to an end. Surely nobody else can fuck up quite so catastrophically with that set of players. Unless Jerry wants to be coach.

He can not be any worse than Kitna, and who knows he may provide a spark.

Although Kitna did step up towards the end of the game, but I think that's mainly due to NY taking their foot off the gas.

I thought McGee looked alright preseason against Miami. He's a strange one though. At A&M under Fran I thought he was a passer being hampered by the option system they ran. Then when Sherman came in he struggled in the west coast system that I thought would have suited him more. He was always a decent game manager though.

At the start of the season if someone offered me the same record as dallas in week 7 I'd have been delighted! Oh well.

Technically our record is actually better too since we won in week 1.

It is great to see Dallas turn to shit this year. ;D

Pity me, I'm a 49ers fan, all I've had is schadenfreude for the last ~12 years.

It just shows how much of an idiot Fran is.

McGee still owns most high school passing records in the state, but he goes to college and they run the option. Sherman's first season was McGee's last, and he was hurt for most of it, and never really got settled.

I think its very telling of the guy's raw talent, that he was drafted as high as he was, or even at all, because he really, through no fault of his own, did not show much in college.

If you've any dignity, you'll resign.....

I guess Wade is responsible for teaching players how to tackle ...

He'll resign, or be fired ... but this has nothing to do with dignity. If you were in his position, you wouldn't resign either.

The most important question now becomes - who will get more wins this season, the Cowboys or the Lions? 🙂

Ha, well we have the opportunity to end our all-time record away losing streak in Buffalo in 2 weeks... If we fail, we have another shot the following week in Dallas 😉

To be honest though, it's quite, quite shocking that it's a valid question.

I think the players have quit ... It was evident against the Giants, which to me is a disgrace. They get paid bucket loads of money, 100% should be offered on every down.

It's unfortunate that in sports, the head coach is the one to blame as some of the issues here are not Wade's doing. That being said, while I 'hoped' he could do something special here, I don't think I ever believed he could lead us to #6. Oh well, hopefully Cowher or whoever we bring in will change that (but going by how some players are playing the last two games, I may even start doubting the 'talent' Jerry has assembled).

Oh and for the love of Emmit, can we not stop this ridiculous 'Barber starts' shit? He plays on series and then Felix runs ... Felix is the starter, and Barber is short yardage back (though I prefer Choice to him)
Huh! Dont feel sorry for them. Its not like they have to win or be succesful to class themselves as the beat team or the biggest name in the nfl.
Theyre the peoples team.....Americas team.....the team to beat the glorious Dallas Cowboys!!!! Dont let results get in the way of......erm........delusion.

how is Dez Bryant doing?
He's been brilliant.

The only bright spot of the season.

So who won the annual 'let's fuck the turf up at wembley' match, then?
Niners. ;D

There's a silver lining though ... we will get a big time head coach and a top 10 draft pick (probably) ... we'll be ok i hope

Does the draft still go ahead if there's a holdout?

I remember it didn't in the NHL until after it was resolved (and then the Pens fluked Crosby 🙂 )
