NFL Regular Season Thread 2010

That's a big win for the Horns. Apparently Nebraska wanted the game bad, with this being their last season in the Big 12, and what happened in the championship game, but they were out matched big time.

Nebraska are a fucking joke anyway.

Disappointing for the Huskers. They're too reliant on Martinez's running game. There were a couple of drops late in the first quarter by Burkhead and Paul. Burkhead's would have been 6. Paul dropped late on too for what should have been a score. They haven't been throwing at all this year, looks like their receivers are losing their softness. You'd still fancy Nebraska to win Big 12 North though.

Big week for Boise with Ohio State losing. The Buckeyes don't have a game with Michigan State this year, so the Big Ten is out of their hands right now.

Down to Boise and Oregon for the number one tomorrow. I suspect it'll be tight in the polls with Oregon gaining more number one votes, but the computer will jump Boise over them. Auburn are looking at a nice ranking too. If they beat LSU next week they're going to be near the top.

A loss today and we equal the record for the most consecutive away losses, currently held by the Detroit Lions.

Although we did win away in week 1 obviously.

Good start for Hill....

Have the Lions management commented on who starts at QB when Stafford's fit to go?

No, but it'll be Matt.

Yes, you don't pay a guy that much to sit on the bench i guess.....

Hmm I do like a good QB controversy though.

I doubt there'll be any controversy about it. Anyway, Hill's due to explode at some point as he's been too good! Maybe we could trade him for a 1st rounder at half time 😉

The Packers are amusingly committing suicide by penalty again.

Fuck me. Cutler just got sacked for a safety. He's going to have permanent brain damage by Christmas. We need to beast Seattle. We need to get wins in the bag for the fuckawful back end we're going to have.

It's ok, no one wants to win the NFC North

Inexplicably, we might win it in spite of ourselves.

Although losing today would spanner the campaign. If Miami beat the Pack though, and we can win, then we're 5-1 and they're 3-3. Then I might have to cheer for Dallas tonight. Although, frankly, I'd rather try to suck my own dick.

Haha, I was just agonising over that game myself!

Perhaps we can hope for the non zero-sum. A double overtime 3-3 tie with both sides suffering catastrophic injuries all round.
