Udinese will be a big test for the young reserves and I do wonder if Rodgers will be tempted to utilise some of the senior players.
Wouldn't surprise me if Coates is subbed early on in order to be fresh for the Stoke game. We need someone on the pitch to counter their aerial threat.

I would somehow forget about fucking Downing
He does not deserve a game even in the second string, he is a disgrace.
I thought he would have shown some grit and bottle, by the fact that he has been displaced from the first team by a kid, and now looks second rate in a second string.
If he is fortunate enough to be given another chance he really does need to show some skill and desire.

Vast majority of wages for a Premier League footballer are a disgrace to be fair but i agree, i can't see Cole figuring too much.

We tried that in the summer & he refused to go saying he wanted to fight for his place.

I'm hoping a few months of no football will help him make up his mind, but he could just be content to sit back & rake the cash. In his case I doubt it though, he seems nice enough, so ideally a move to qpr or West Ham would be a decent solution.

Supposedly rejected a 3m tax-free deal to join Spartak Moscow. I think his head and heart are in the right places, it's just that he's no longer the player he once was. When 'Arry is appointed after Hughes is sacked, hopefully he'll come in for Cole. Oh... and Downing too.

Yeah i can see hughes being sacked before xmas at this rate. They have invested heavily and they are doing very poor. 'arry would love to take over QPR and would definitely get them out of relegation zone.
