Ok, so love it or loathe it, Mr Rodgers likes attacking fullbacks.

If you watch that clip of our best goals this season, you will see that Johnson and Enrique are heavily involved in many of our successful attacks.

In my opinion, they both need competition for their place in the team, but both are definitely good enough for the job given to them.

Can we accept that these roles exist in the way we play now, and along with it will come the occasional defensive lapse? Are these two players really inconsistent, or is it a product of judging them by more traditional standards?

Regardless of whether it's what he wants from fullbacks, I'd be overly concerned if he brushed Johnson's concentration lapses under the carpet, he's been awful for months and inconsistent throughout his career. We need better, he's supposed to be "peak" age and hitting his best, we had a good few months out of him last year and that's about it.
