Joking aside, it's a good question. I used to wear 'girly' shin straps that had light weight 'splint' like plastic strips in them to keep the weight down (they also had ankle padding as I always got hit there). The idea being to have the least impact on my sprinting whilst still providing some protection to me as a winger.
Surely Nani had something a little more robust covering his shins compared to a schoolboy in the 80's.

re: shin pad. ladyboys like him don't wear shin pads, if they do, they are those cheap thin plastic type ones that don't stay around your shin. They would prefer to look 'cool' (or as i believe a cock) by holding up the shin pads with tape and wearing white ankle socks on the outside of their footy socks, like his ladyboy friend ronaldo. what is wrong with the good old big solid shin pads with ankle protectors?
