He is a very good option for the bench. Bad end product ... mind you Klopp saw him first hand last season against boro...so probably no interest.

He needs work and seeing and Klopp could develop him, should be an intriguing project. I have no idea if he is on Klopps radar but his pace and strength offers option.
 
He's more brainless then Balotelli though. Its quite telling that he went from Barcelona to Villa to Boro, and has been stuck there.
Its just pace and dribbling and no awareness whatsoever.
 
Don't agree with that, zaha is a quality player

I don't want him because I think we could get better than he'd cost. Seems like a homebird

He is still a diabolical decision maker Don. He ruins soooo many opportunities with poor thinking when in great positions.

I remember when we were linked with the young Zidane many moons ago under Houllier 🙁

If this kid Fekir is the new Zidane then I would much rather we signed him than Zaha.

As for the goaly situation, I still think our best goaly is Ward and I do not understand why he was not given a chance considering the other two catastrophic options we have been rolling around with.

Spending truly big on a goaly is still a very risky situation regardless of the nightmare we are currently suffering.

I would be quite happy if we signed a player like Butland and maybe dragged in an experienced quality player such as Reina or Buffon as a backup.

Mig is going to go and I imagine Karius will as well, or at least after the total debacle on Saturday he will need superhuman good luck and performances to ever step back into our nets long term.

The words i've heard via various bits of media are that Ward is also looking to leave now so maybe we probably need to sign 3.

Scary shit.

Pepe Reina is the only ‘win’ in the last 25 years.
Dudek was *ok* but fuck me Chelsea (eg) have gone from a decade of Cech to a decade of Courtois. United Schmeichal, Barthez, Van der saar, De Gea.....even spurs have a better record at getting keepers.

Thankfully we can always rely on Wenger to get it wrong too......oh.

We have been reliably bad at recruiting keepers. Maybe Karius was making our last downpayment on our goalkeeping curse and it's all good from here. Yes. I've decided to believe that.

Fekir is nothing like Zidane. Fekir like to run with the ball, I don't need to remind yo what Zidane used to do with the ball.

He has pace, dribbling and strength he just needs education and that can be done by the right coach. Hopefully he gets that chance.

In fairness, you're right. Zaha had all the raw attributes but has only started delivering on those blessings in the past couple of years. Traore is only 22 so there has to be hope for him.He could well end up being a cracking player. I just don't think we should be in the business of 'projects' right now. We have a few lads in our academy that probably deserve some of that treatment, and otherwise we need to buy class that we expect to deliver in week 1 of the season.
 
Why would we bother with Traore when Harry Wilson did more in the Championship since Christmas than he did? In a worse team as well. Traore may be faster but his end product is much worse than Wilson and he's already failed to produce at Premiership level.

Every time I watch Zaha, I still end up thinking he's quite raw. He turns 26 in November. Maybe he'll become a great player at Everton or some other club willing to gamble 50M on him. But surely the whole point of establishing yourself in the top 4 and reaching CL finals is that you get to sign players who offer you more guarantees.
 
traore is an athlete who cannot play football at the highest level. no amount of coaching can give him the mental attributes that he needs. he isnt good enough. even boro fans think he is garbage.
