I get this, I really do, but we're one of the richest clubs on Earth. We've just played in the CL final again. I'm not saying we're not because we've done some swift business already this year. I just reckon we need more of his kind of player, and we are fucking minted, despite what most of our fans have been led to believe.
Zaha is definitely the type of player we need, I agree with you there. I have no idea about our finances, though. But, if splurging big on Zaha doesn't have a knock-on effect elsewhere, then I'd be all for it.

However buying players isn't all just about transfer fee. Wages play a massive part too, we already one of the top teams in the world when it comes to wages, god knows how especially when you look at the subs bench? We going to to have to be savvy and get rid of deadwood too.
Surely getting rid of Sturridge, Origi, Ings will allow us to get Fekir and Dembele. Sturridge alone is apparently on 150k a week basic style!

When that last Forbes list came out we were 7th richest club in the world. Since then we've been to a CL final, qualified again, done a massive shirt deal, sold more season tickets than any time in our history, doubled the corporate hospitality, added 10,000 seats, got a new TV deal worth a fucking fortune, got banks to sponsor player's arseholes. The list is insane. If we want a player and we can't get them it can only be because one of the fossil fuel owning mofos is in there first. Seriously. There's never been a more important time to kick on, and we've never had more money.
