This lad is massively underrated.

He's the heartbeat of this spurs team. Take him out of the game and spurs are half the side.
He gave inter hell last night bale seems to have got the plaudits for makin the goals but modric was immense as per

Surely he'll be snapped up by one of europes elite in the next 12 months?

I agree Modric is a fantastic player. For such a slightly-built guy to be successful in the Premier League, they have to possess incredible skill and speed of thought, and Modric has those in bucketloads.
 
They paid 16 million for him didn't they. Another player who didn't hit the ground running but has turned into a fine player. They struggled to find a role/position for him in the team but he seems to be adjusted to the league now and is a constant threat.
 
Spurs has played some great games this Season and VdV, Bale and Modric has been excellent with Bale the oustanding one.

However I'm not so sure they'll win anything this Season and I could even see them struggle to qualify for next years ChL as well. And then things can change quickly whilst the hype fades rapidly.

They've struggled in the league so far and I'd expect them to continue to do so at least whilst also playing in Europe.
 
Shit keeper average defense (at defending) excellent midfield in terms of variety, pace & creativity, average up front lacking a world class forward.

They'll win nothing and will do well to finish 4th. However it'll be a disaster if they finish lower than 6th.

4th place is between them, man city and us.

And we're playing major catch up, but it's do-able.

Me thinks you are deluding yourself a bit. No offence.

This is not possible unless we invest in at least two top quality players in Jan. A Defensive midfielder who can play well in this league. A striker. These two have to be top class. It would be great to get a good Left Back and a winger too. But no body spends close to 50 million in Jan transfer window. So it is a bit retarded to expect that.

Even assuming all the above investments are made to the squad, we may still not be able to challenge if Roy fails to maintain at least a catchable distance from the top 4. On current form, i think we don't stand a chance this season, no matter what happens.
 
I'm a massive fan of Modric. I originally took the stance 'oh he's too small for the Prem...' but after I phased out that caveman ideology I decided he's class. Liked him in that Croatia team during and before the Euro's. Would love him at us.
