Dallas Braden ?

haha he's rubbish. Did he dedicate it to A-Rod ?

I like that kind of stuff though ... Baseball needs characters like that, even if they're nobodys (well he was until last night, now he's part of baseball trivia forever).

The Rangers are on a really good run ... Kinsler's come back and has really done well and Andrus has really adopted well to the lead off spot. Pitching is still a bit up n' down, except for Colby Lewis - who's been phenomenal. I think unless the Angels right their ship, this division is winnable.

Authorities say paramedics found former major league pitcher Jose Lima, 37, in full cardiac arrest at his home in Pasadena early Sunday, and he was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A statement from the Pasadena Police Department says a specific cause of death is unknown, and Los Angeles County coroner's officials will perform an autopsy.

Police detectives also responded to the scene because of the undetermined cause of death and will work with the coroner's office, the statement said.

Lima's wife Dorca Astacio said the cause of death was ruled a heart attack.

We sweep the poxy Rays...

Don't look now, but we're the hottest team in baseball. And don't look next week, when we've found a way to get swept by the Royals, either.

Quite. Ortiz is Ortiz again... Lester is the bees knees.

If Beckett comes back good, and Dice-K can stop this shit/great/shit/great form and be great more than 50% of the time, we still have hope.

Delighted for him. He's a pretty unique pitcher nowadays.

I was lucky enough to see him in the second half of the 2001 season which was really when his career started on the up. He was great then, but you couldn't have predicted he'd have turned out this good.

He was the bright spot in a consistenly disappointing Toronto side the past few years. Good for him.
