Midfielders other than Bellingham

Like Diaz and Gakpo, I do feel we will sign one midfielder out of the blue who is not in the top 3 currently - Mac Allister, Mount, Gravenberch.
 
Yea the talk from journalists that we weren’t in for Ugarte a week or two ago reeked of bluff and protesting too much
 
I was always a fan of Senor Ugarte

I dont know about this guy, i see the way he pays and immediatelyi see red cards. I think we are getting him to keep Nunez happy, by having a fellow Urug

Could we not just get Nunez a big fish to hug - that seems to make him happy and it’d be cheaper.
 
Ugarte's move getting closer, £50m-ish according to Rags. If the papers are to be believed our MF will be Gravenbach, Ali Mac and Ugarte a total spend of £130-150m ish

It changes by the day.....once it was nailed on to be Bellingham....then Mount.....then Barella.....then bob.....and bob's uncle.

I think we generally have an idea how many signing's we'll make and in which areas.....question is who from the 8438493 names we've seen flash across our eyes will they be & how much for.

I think you and I would prefer a player like Kone/Thuram type along with Ugarte and Ali Mac than Gravenbach but wouldn't complain if it is Gravenbach.

In other words they've made an offer which we haven't matched, either because we made a lower one or (hopefully) because we haven't made one at all.
 
Multiple unreliable reports that Ugarte and Macalister all but done.

Think we'll bring in 1 more in (in defence) and that'll be it.

All about outgoings now.

Nah, I think 2 midfielders will be it and then a defender (RB or CB).

Then it'll all be on outgoings, if Kelleher departs then we'll probably get that Zielger fella in.

I’m not saying we’ll get them but once we land the minimum requirement of two midfielders imo we’ll revert to our thrift shopping mode and make miserly offers for other players
 
So, the absolute minimum for us to have competitive team next year, has to be 2 CMS and a RB/CB.

If we forego the defence then we're going to be panic loaning again in Jan

on the plus side hendo or fabinho hopefully won’t be as essential to the midfield, allowing them to drop to defence if needed
