Betting MELONERAS - 2.15 Leicester

I have a small bet on this, took it at 6/1 at lunchtime.

backed it at 7/1 on betfair.

Lost out on a 18/1 winner because they don't pay first past the post.

I'm a betting novice, i have no idea what that means.

I backed a horse that was demoted from first place by a Stewards Inquiry. It was a tip I was given, an outsider in a five horse race. He was 18/1 with bookies, I got greedy and took 22/1 on Betfair, the other bookies would pay out if your winner was demoted by a Stewards Inquiry , Betfair doesn't.
