Then clearly your missus has got more fucking sense. Last year KPMG described our club as having " material uncertainty as a going concern" and despite a transfer profit we still incressed our debt by 54.9 M.

Should we therefore be less concerned?

How many of us genuinely think it will get better under those conditions? Answer honestly if you were an ambitious player would you sign for LFC? Or Torres for example would you stay? In a thread full of potshots at our new manager accusing him of powerlessness or ignorance nobody seems to be calling it like it really is. We do not have a left back. Fact. We are about to sell one of the best midfielders in the world for the second year running to leave us with Lucas Leiva as a senior player. Fact. The best striker weve had in years seemingly cant commit himself publicly to the club for some unknown hidden reason and we basically have noone else in his stead nor do we have much in the way of wingers yet again but apparently everything is being blown all out of proportion by idiots with an axe to grind.

Get fucked.

Heres another fact for you, which you can choose to ignore at your leisure, i never really bother with RAWK, cant be arsed with all the earnest campaigning YNWA shite having said that at least those cunts can see we are deep deep in the shit.

Ah but dont worry about it... Broughton wants to put us back on the top. The 410M of debt is not a problem obviously.
So are you saying Joe Cole and Jovanovic dont have ambition?
Are you also ignoring the fact our star striker has said he is staying?
And are you ignoring the fact that last year Alonso WANTED to leave?
And are you ignoring the fact Mascherano has asked to leave?
And are you really doing all this and then expecting anyone to think you DONT have an agenda?
dear me.

Molby, no offence was meant mate, I havent been on here much for a while, not seen you about and took it you were another 'informe, informe' poster. However the rest of your last post is a tad OTT imo, Torres appears to be happy to stay now, Joe Cole appears to be happy with what he's been told , as does Stevie, I dont think it's 'That Bad' I guess time will tell.....

I might add oncy i think i left your believer bandwagon even after you last season ... Check if you like .... To say we really dont need more fucking holes in the team is spot on, from what i could see the lad Maxi can play a bit and we fucking need players, sorry to all if thats RAWK logic.

This big summer is looking like a pile of fucking shite from down here in Spain. Again.

Ahh but they got unlucky with the banking crash and theyve increased revenue ... ME BOLLIX.

Oh and last time i checked Oncy they were still the owners so i dont know where you get the "now theyve gone" nonsense.

More beer.

No offence taken, im just gutted to think we will be losing mash and get back to find Maxi, who i also liked, might be on his way also.

Its just pure cunt at the minute.

Anyway .... I just spotted tequila !!! Get in ....

Fridges, god bless em.

Agenda??

Nah....

Just don't enjoy watching Rome burn.

At times in the not too distant past that was a nifty team that.... Shame fuck off crippling and still growing loans prevented us from making it niftier .... I will wait Oncey because obviously it us that's powerless not Hodgson. Fucking mugxthat we are to actually care.

If it isn't apparent to all then it is to me that it is not about Roy being a puppet of Purslow et al.... the entire fucking club is a puppet of crushing debt and ignore it or not we are absolutely fucked and were last season also.

It will not and CANNOT get better until we are sorted financially and although others are in the same boat and despite all the hot air wafting out from the boardroom our debt increased by 55M last year alone and our owners are two near bankrupt yank carpetbaggers, puppets?? Who gives a fuck! Money is talking and we are a selling club now, no fucking arguments, no griping about the manager past or present, no conspiracy nor devious boardroom just fucking fact. End the fuck of.

It just makes me sincerely grateful to Gerrard because despite being red through and through i'd be first in the office demanding a transfer from what is a graveyard of a place at the moment.

Our beloved chairman talking of administration for fucks sake.

As for Maxi i happened to like his contributions last season and as a tidy footballer was hoping for something good from him this season, i hope its made up shite but I am not holding my breath.
As pointed out yesterday, I think Purslow and co are working within the restrictions of what we've got. They've obviously set about a financial plan which outlines which players we can sell, and so long as that doesn't include Torres and Gerrard, then we can't really grumble (in the reality of our current predicament) if a few high earners are cut loose.

Besides, no one knows the story behind the scenes, do they? Reportedly, the main reason Maxi came here was because of the presence of Masher. Both our Argentine players have now left (Masher/Insua), so who knows what the score is with Maxi now?

I can't remember him doing anything of note last season. Not even a decent assist.

I would give him until Xmas and if he's still shit, sack him out.

Tonnes of the shitbags who've underperformed under the Benitez era have either been shown the door or are being usher toward it.

I like that policy.

No one will miss the likes of Babel, Maxi, Insua, Deggen and co.

Players with proven class, who had shit seasons, is a very different topic.

Are you serious. Maxi had a fine end to the season and linked up well with Gerrard.

If he's still shit? Fuckin hell.

Mark my point is the restrictions we are working under are causing a dismantling of a team and that is definitely a reason to grumble. At the minute it is a very big "if" for us to replace players at all with anybody approaching quality. I thought Maxi looked a useful player last season having come into a sad and suffering unit halfway through having not played for a while. I would much rather we sold Babel for example and get some money for him, a player who has been at the club years and still didn't get in the team.

By all means clear out the shit players, maxi isn't one of them, neither is Mash for that matter. How about selling aquilani or Lucas while your at it? Fuck it according that policy we would be left maybe 6 or so players, although I grant you financially much better of.

Babel refused to leave, and we dont seem to be attracting offers for Lucas.

If Maxi's leaving, it's probably because he wants to leave..just like Mascher wants to leave.

As for Aquilani, that's an interesting one..
I don't think that it is all that interesting if I'm honest. If we sold Aquilani now we will make a huge loss, if we keep him we might get a decent season out of him and then either recoup our money or keep hold of him for another season.

I'm trying to find a space for Aqulani in Liverpool line-ups but it's proving pretty difficult.

Benitez was always pretty vague with where Alberto would play, stating 'somewhere between Mascherano and Gerrard', but then returned to his cautious nature and stuck with Lucus as a second DM, providing "control" but no penatration or general attacking contribution, and only favouring to bring on Aquilani when the Plan A of passing sideways came unstuck time and time again.

I'm really concerned about CM at the minute. Mascherano's off, there's huge doubts over Aquilani's fitness and mentality, Lucas is Lucas, and moving Gerrard back might not work as well as we hope and would also indicate a switch to 4-4-2, something which doesn't work in Torres' favour.

It's far from a promising situation, leaving me far from "relaxed" at the state of our current squad, but I do have confidence in having an improved squad from last season, and a team which is behind and plays for it's new manager, which would be a refreshing change from the previous 12 months.

Aquilani finished last season playing really well. He's never going to be a terrier in midfield but he can certainly make our attacking game purr if we put some decent players around him.

Aquilani played well against Portsmouth and Burnley and was pretty poor against everyone else when I seen him play. I'm really looking forward to seeing where Roy plays him and what level of performance he can produce. He's over the ankle injury, has had a full pre-season (albeit with a small niggle) but should be fit when the season kicks off. Hopefull he is a £20 mil CM, that would be excellent.

He was worth that to Roma when fit.

But it still feels like we've been shafted on this transfer. He's worth fuck all to us at the moment. The only way is up as far as Aquilani is concerned.

Espanyol recognizing the return of Maxi Rodriguez is "impractical"

The CEO of Espanyol, Joan Collet, has recognized that the incorporation of Argentine Maxi Rodriguez (Liverpool) at the Catalan club is "unfeasible from an economic standpoint."

Espanyol The executive said that news of the club's interest in Maxi, five years after leaving Espanyol to be signed for Atletico Madrid and later by Liverpool, "was a surprise even to me." Collet commented that although he is a player he likes, believes "it would be unfeasible from the economic point of view."

Espanyol would have been interested in signing back to Argentina, but the high tab complicates the operation of the player for the Catalans. From the player's environment has ensured that Maxi Rodriguez does not intend to move from Liverpool.

He was excellent in some of the UEFA games, linking terrifically well with SG in particular. Some of our play in those games was absolutely stunning and Aquilani was at the centre of it.

I don't recall us ever playing 'absolutely stunning' stuff at any stage of last season Doc.
Some games were better than others, yeah. But overall we sucked balls.
Aquilani played ok/well in some games yes, but not consistently for 90mins (when he wasn't hauled off).

I'm hopeful he will be an important player for us.

The problem was that Rafa hauled him off every time he played well. And we had stunning moves in those European games. There was that nearly a goal which would have ranked with the best goals I've ever seen had it went in (was it against Athletico at Anfield?) That game he really showed his promise.

Oh I do remember that .... it was a tragedy it wasn't finished off as the move itself deserved legendary status.
