the only striker Benitez has signed that has gone on to prove to be world class has been Torres

in 5 years, he's only managed to sign one decent striker that has trebled his value. it's a fucking joke. Why can't he have a better record, why is it when we spend £20m we get Torres but when the MASTER Ferguson spends £30m he gets an unqualified success like Berbatov.

Benitez is rubbish in the transfer market

You know Headers, it's a real problem trying to use sarcasm when you're so mental and stupid that people can never be quite sure when you actually are being sarcastic.

Headers is a total RCDNW'er, so I would surmise that despite his ham-fisted efforts to obfuscate his own point, he is behind the signing, and thinks Benitez is excellent in the transfer market.

He is using humour and sarcasm to add weight to his point that we aren't poor in the transfer market at all. I think anyway.

He called Benitez a "miracle worker" in the transfer market, and applauded the fee he got for Drossena on The Liverpool Way:

"If what we're hearing is true, that Benitez has managed to recoup some money for Dossena and got something for Voronin then he has pulled off a miracle in the transfer market in addition to recouping 80% of Robbie Keane's fee (which he has not been allowed to spend)"

You have to wonder: is he aware that Benitez also BROUGHT those players to Anfield? And in the case of Dross and Keane, sold them at a loss shortly after?

What a miracle worker! What a genius!

I think getting rid of those mistakes at those fee's is very good business for any manager

[/quote]

Here Rebel catch , you will find it easier with this............. *throws Rebel a spade*

Every manager makes mistakes, no one is perfect and if you understood the transfer market you'd know that

The fact he is/was able to move them on and recoup a sizable portion of the fee is good management

Fucking hell. I mean, really: FUCKING CUNTING HELL.

I understand the new board "principles" and why they are there......but just fucking look at the fucking provocation that this dense, be-headwanded twat is throwing in my face!

It's inhuman!

"Every managers makes mistakes" isn't a blanket defence. It can be used when there's one or two fuck-ups, but not as many as Benitez has made in recent years.

Was Ferguson a "miracle worker" for recouping £13M for Veron? I mean who cares about the shit performances, so long as you get a bit of money back it's all cool..

Dear me at so many of you not understanding the logic of a manager making a mistake but getting a good fee for the player and moving them on quickly. I wish we were back to Houllier's days of so many top players on long contracts being sold for huge amounts

relax brendan, all he's saying that every manager makes mistakes and rafa should be 'lauded' for recouping a lot of the fees he's wasted on those mistakes.

Losing £17M on a player is "quite impressive"?

I'm not going to get into a debate about Ferguson or Veron who was a ridiculous fee but if you look at that deal Chelsea lost more. I think Ferguson has paid for his mistakes when he sold Ronaldo for 80 million

ok but those managers usually take steps to make sure they can cope if a mistake happens. but benitez' mistakes have fucked us in the arse every time. hard. why is that? its cos he risked the litte money he had on positions we already had adequate players in. and one year later what do you say? awww im sorry i made a mistake, now we can't have that right winger we've been needing for the last 5 years. awww. nevermind. but hey, we have a shit left back too now. no. fuck you benitez.

You're praising him for buying shit and selling it at a loss;but because the loss could be worse that makes it impressive in your mind.

Hmmm. Perhaps the "fucking four-eyed CUNT" should maybe pour more of his efforts into making less mistakes in the first place, then he wouldn't have to spend so much time and money rectifying those that he has made.

That way, we could talk about his trophies and excellent signings a bit more, instead of quacking on like a demented headwand about his net spend, wage bill, and how buying Robbie Keane for £20m and then selling him six months later for an £8m loss was "good management"

No, he paid for his mistakes with 11 League titles and 2 European Cups.

I like Rafa however there are unconfirmed reports that he hadn't even watched Dossena play prior to signing him. Based on what we've seen since his arrival I don't think these reports are outlandish. He's fat, slow and unsuited to our team yet the club transfer record for a defender was smashed for this player. In my book this is not merely making a mistake, it's absolutely fucking ridiculous.
