Maybe there was enough pace and movement for him to be able to just pass it around but we don't have that. Even alonso and gerrard struggled to create a lot given what great passers they are. so what is this guy going to do? really

I'm just more concerned about the lack of pace in our team (as well as the lack of talent). We only have two players capable of running past people at pace.

That said, I've never known a manager sign so many one-paced players ever. It's his obssession.

Agger is a very good player and when he's played, he's been solid. If we sold him, we'd make a big profit. The potential is there for the future and for 5.5M, I don't think anyone can really complain. Not when you see clubs like Barca paying 13M for duds like Caceres. Even Wenger has ended up paying what is for him big money on a CB.

As for the others, you're being very harsh. A few of those have played consistently well as first teamers - back when we were actually good. And despite my initial reservations, Yossi has proven to be about as good a squad player you can get.
