I would have had no problem with him leaving up until tonight. After the reasoning he gave, that was fair enough, and he did stay last year and did not look unfocused.

i thought he'd behaved ok up to now considering his situation. maybe it was seeing aquilani, a £20million player, being allowed to leave on a loan that must have set him off. from his point of view that's a slap in the face when you think about it

What he did was shit. The problem we're having is that though he's a great player, the interested teams don't desperately need him, and don't have bags of cash.

We'll get less than we ought for him, we'll be worse off for it, and none of that has changed because of what he's done. It does make him a prick though.
 
Let's be honest, we all suspected Mascherano was a cunt, which was fine while he was our cunt. I'm not really surprised by his behaviour.
 
Isn't this a breach of contract. Can't we therefor sue him for the amount paid under current contract. They did with Ricky Williams even thought that was a drug reason. I guess him claiming an injury would put this to bed but we better at least fine him a weeks wages if this is true.

Masher was already an established international with a good reputation before he was sent to West Ham who didn't know what to do with him. He would've been on his way to another top team had we not stepped in.

I've not read any of the build-up threads.... has it been confirmed officially or by someone in the know that he refused to play? I'll be disappointed if so. I disagree that he's always been a cunt. He's always given 100% when he's played and agreed to stay on another year when we asked him to last year.

Sorry, that was tongue-in-cheek about him not getting in the Hammers team.

RedShrek posted the original team with Masher and Poulsen in the middle. Then got word from his source that Masher had refused to play and the boss needed to make a good few changes.
