- Lots of scouts present at the Sporting Lisbon v Porto match on Sunday to watch the likes of William Carvalho and Eliaquim Mangala
- Liverpool's scout also present, apparently to watch Marcos Rojo
- CB, capable of playing at LB (where he starts for Argentina)
[article]Liverpool are interested in making a summer move for Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo, according to A Bola.
According to the Portuguese media outlet, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers sent scouts to cast an eye on Rojo at the weekend as Sporting Lisbon faced Porto and the report claims that the Reds were impressed.
Boss Rodgers is extremely keen to add a new left sided defender due to the departure of Aly Cissokho, who will return to Valencia this summer at the end of his loan spell.
Rojo has so far been impressing numerous European teams and he is expected to play a big part in Argentina's World Cup campaign this summer.
Sporting only own 25% of the player as Sports investment company - Doyen Sports own the remainder, making a move to Liverpool a little more complicated.
However, the Reds are keen to pursue the move and hope Rojo can challenge Luis Enrique for a starting place next season.[/article]
