We're only scoring through a fluky break through defense, but that's the only way we were scoring anyway...

We very nearly scored, and should have, with a lovely team goal, with zero fluke about it.
We've just not been able to have much possession, against the only team better than us at that, and they made it count.
We were a bit stretched in midfield. When Firm and Salah dropped a bit deeper we managed to get more play going. Sadly we didn't use the ball too well when we had chances of creating something.
They have done well, but with two yellows at the back, we should keep running at them.

Milner has had some good moments but by and large the midfield has let us down today.
Wijnaldum can't seem to hold the ball or make a pass and Henderson has reverted to headless chicken mode.
The faffing around at the back is killing me as well. The number of times TAA received the ball near the corner flag with man on... christ.

I think Gini has been good, but there's little he can do when he has three players bearing down on him, which has often been the case.
Shaqiri needs to come on, but we're very much in this. I think that was City's only shot in the game.

That's because Lovren can't step out with ball. So he defaults to just passing it sideways to Trent.
Gomez, we've seen, can run with the ball. That would narrow off Sane, and thus create more room for Trent, when it does come out to him.
So far it's a tale of individuals: Fernandinho has been brilliant for City, stopping so many of our attacks in their tracks and also managing to turn defense into attack instantly – something that our back 8, apart from Trent, has been unable to do. Then Aguero vs Lovren – a clear advantage for City there, Dejan seems half-asleep and slow to react a lot of the time, but this is in part due to the quick thinking of the City forwards. Our front 3 didn't see enough of the ball to really test the City back 4, but when they did they caused panic. Not sure if Kompany tackle was a red, definitely seen them given.
