I guess you cant see what's coming but it's never plain sailing for us. If we win it, it will probably be courtesy of a 96th minute winner against Wolves on the last day.

Fuck that, we'll twat them. Klopp will ground them, get them back in the zone, and beat everyone else in the league.

We just got beaten by very small margins even though we had the wrong team out and they played out their skins. This doesnt mean shite like Man U and Everton can beat us

Woland - appreciate the uplift you are trying to give everyone, means a lot - but right now I just cannot buy into it. I got this horrible feeling that one of our expensive buys has just not worked out this season in Naby Keita, and with Ox out - I just feel our options are limited in midfield against the other top 6 sides at the moment. I actually cannot see us beating United, and Chelsea - I think we will lose the points in those games. We need City to get fucked over - I just think United will not perform against them deliberately, I think they will beat Chelsea at the Etihad, Arsenal, and Spurs and realistically cannot see anyone else beat them right now like they have been beaten recently. They will be onto us like a dick to a pussy.

Means fuck all 4 point lead - we will lose it in no time - I think we will bottle it at United, and if we go for it they got the pace to pick us off, and probably draw against Chelsea, and even Spurs. Everton will put up a fight and don't forget the relegation battlers we will have to face. It means nothing those 4 points - other than temporary enjoyment of watching our team at the top of the table until after the next game. Fuck it feels so bad - sorry for polluting this site with my feelings - but really really upset with that team that Klopp put out tonight.

Yeah it’s like City have no big games to play.

Sheik - if they play like they did against us - with determined dogged defence, I cannot see them losing especially as they got the passing moves to go with it. Today I saw a very different City side - one that was organised very well, as soon as we won the ball - every man and woman (Sterling) was in their own half defending with their fucking lives. Pep will remind them about this game and what it took and keep telling them they must do the same in every other game this season - and to a cunt they will probably obey because all those City first team players - have good footballing brains.

Get a grip Moron. City have Arsenal and Chelsea in their next five games. We've got a load of shit to play

What do you mean get a grip ? - Arsenal ? - we just fucked them over 5-1, and Chelsea can't even beat Southampton at home. Did you see what we did to Arsenal last Saturday ?

Did you see what Chelsea just did to Citeh? Along with Palace and Leicester?

Yeah - but they won't do it at the Etihad. As for Palace, and Leicester - good on them for taking their limited chances, but City won't play like they were doing against them after tonight. TRUST ME- City have now woken up from their recent fuck -ups.

Moron has anyone told you that maybe just maybe there’s a possibility that you may be bipolar ?
No - I am not; what you are experiencing from me is 29 seasons of nervous fear, I honestly have waited a long time for us to win the league again, every season starts with hope - many a season losing all hope after November, and you know - Klopp is actually the worse one because:-

1) He gives you so much hope
2) He gets the team playing out of their skin to the point the players get injuries and are out.

Number (2) above is the reason why we have not sustained a title challenge under him in previous seasons or actually won anything under him. By the time we get to a final or a period of dominance the 6 week + injuries kick in for those players and we lose it all.

The other managers - you never quite believed because they never addressed the serious issues - Klopp does and then like tonight and in the CL final starts with a player coming back from an injury. Why do these managers fucking do this to us ? - really upsets me when managers overlook necessary talent over their perceived need to have players that they think will follow their instructions 100% even though they may be physically unable to in the moment. Take Rafa with Boudewijn Zenden, and the endless list that GH had.

Sorry I didn’t read 95% of it. I’ve got more important matters to focus on.

For instance, how on earth wasn’t that a goal again ?!?!?

For City, it’s about whether they are as up for other games the rest of the season as they do readily were today.

It’s hard to maintain the level of intensity over a sustained period.

They way I look at it was if City get the same sort of results as they did in the second half of last season they’ll hit around 90 points.

So I’m expecting ting us to need a minimum of 12 victories for the remaining games.

Brighton (A)
Palace (H)
West Ham (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Watford (H)
Burnley (H)
Fulham (A)
Southampton (A)
Cardiff (A)
Huddersfield (H)
Newcastle (A)
Wolves (H)

That leaves Utd (A), Everton (A), Leicester (H), Spurs (H), Chelsea (H) for wiggle room.

It’s all about beating those 12 teams - there’s a good 6+ points achievable from the 5 tough games as well.

We need to send a strong team out and get a result against Wolves in the cup.

Exactly this. What we need is a manager that doesn’t give us hope, that can’t get the players to play out of their skin so we can avoid injuries. This all makes sense.

Shit result. Not the worst performance.

It's clear city are a better side when everyone is fit (They were missing their best player today) but it doesn't mean they'll win the league.

It's critically important we string off a few wins on the bounce now. A draw would have been fantastic but you have to hand to them they deserved the win. They nullified us extremely well while looking threatening themselves.

They targeted Lovren and it paid off twice. Their front three scored two superb goals while ours missed our two chances.

The most annoying thing about Utd used to be that after they lost a game they'd go on a big run. We need to do that now and hope City slip up again.

Hopefully we don't see this city side for the next 18 games as they were superb.

We have 5 very winnable games coming up, we are 4 pts clear and for the most part we play first which is a big advantage.

Gonna be one hell of a ride.

Yeah, it's not all doom. City are clearly a top side, were better on the night and still only just shaded it.

Like you, I'd looked at our fixtures and thought we should still be able to do this. That's a very decent run-in of games, 5 winnable ones coming up now. City's fixtures are tougher.

On one hand, to be as good as we have been, and only be 4 points clear, is disappointing. On the other hand, top of the league in Jan, 54 from 21 with a nice GD is great. Just need to regroup and start twatting teams again.

I think it's more likely you'll see City get more points than less in the second half of the season but here's hoping.

City have 6 more games in January alone followed by Arsenal Chelsea and Everton in succession. They will slip up again, their fixture list is a nightmare. We need to put this behind us and be in a position to take advantage of any points they drop.

Fingers crossed.

Everton will be a walk over for them mind

After a good night's sleep ... I'll say the following:

* Macca is right - our great title winning sides lost to their rivals, it happens ... Win most of the remaining 17 games, and they can have the battle while we have the war
* We didn't have the rub of the green yesterday ... s'ok. You get it sometimes (Everton HA HA HA) and sometimes you don't.
* Kompany, "He's through on goal if I don't blah blah" ... He won the ball yes, but two feet ... That really should have been a red and it's the second time he's got away with it. I'm not sure how he and Fernandinho get overlooked so often for cards.
* So many mates are so happy with the result. Not sure why everyone hates us so much - but I guess they know we've arrived and this isn't a false dawn, so bring on the hatred.
