Man United Pre-Match

Nah let's really embarrass them. Someone needs to tie Ashley Young to the back post and get big Virgil to deliver the Rikishi Stinkface on him live on TV.
I don’t know what that is but you can have a like anyway.

For much of the past 20 years, despite a few notable exceptions, we’ve gone into this game with a desperate and illogical hope rather than any genuine sense that we’re better than them. That’s changed. It says it all that their best chance comes through playing negatively. Lets hope the football gods smile on a proper team today.

I havent believed in the footballing gods since John O 'Sheas 91st minute winner at anfield

Just heard someone saying they expect McTominay to man mark Frim. How the fuck is that meant to work? Should give them a hiding*

*Yeah I know we won't

Motherfucker!

This is a 12.30 kick off. I thought it was the late game.

I've got my oldest kids 9th* birthday party starting at 1pm.

*The first 2 games we played after he was born was the 4-1 vs United with the Dossena chip and then vs Real Madrid. At least those are good omens.

It's not going to be too difficult to forecast United's defence / Midfield since their options are limited (assuming it's true Martial and Pogba are both out), up front depends on how Mourinho sets them up but I'm assuming 2 defensive minded midfielders so can he afford to play Sanchez there (as he has for every match so far) ? If not then he moves him to LW which isn't good since he's been playing shite at AM and LW cutting in he's far more dangerous but if he sticks to his guns them it's possible he'll push Lingard out there who can play similarly.

............................. De Gea

Valencia ...... Bailly ........ Smalling ..........Young (he could play Lindelof here if he gets very defensive, Shaw will miss out)

.......... McTominay ........... Matic

........................... Sanchez

Mata ................... Lukaku ..............Lingard

Rashford isn't as defensive as Mata so I think he'll bring him on after HT if they are behind or last 20 mins if trying to win it.

Liverpool team: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Can, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Substitutes: Mignolet, Wijnaldum, Gomez, Henderson, Lallana, Solanke, Matip.

Bailly is in for them, which makes them a bit stronger at the back. Would've preferred Lindelof to play.

OK as I suggested above bar Rashford for Lingard, not sure whether that means he's moved Sanchez out there or Rashford.

Man Utd: de Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Bailly, Young, McTominay, Matic, Mata, Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez. Subs: Lindelof, Lingard, Carrick, Romero, Shaw, Fellaini, Darmian.

Fellaini will be coming on after seventy minutes so they can lump balls forward towards him and he can try to elbow any Liverpool player in sight.

Surprised Hendo is left out. Still just about our physically strongest midfield though. It's massive that Pogba and Martial are both out though. Pogba might not be on form but he's great at keeping possession once he has it. That has to benefit us in terms of turnovers.

Their bench is weak as fuck bar Lingard + (Romero, Carrick, Lindelof, Fellaini, Shaw, Darmian). And very very defensive !

that mcdonalds kid is going to have a game of his life and lingard will come off the bench and score the winner
