  1. Mane – scored a crucial opener and created the 2nd
  2. Salah – turned this game from a grind into a rout within 5 minutes after coming on. Unreal form, how long can he keep it up?
  3. Oxlade-Chamberlein – for the second game running, dominated his flank with his energy and defensive work. He is staking his claim for a regular team spot.
Honorable mention: Gomez, he was in the top 3 until Salah came on.

Agree on this. Have to say this on the Ox - was not happy we signed him, because I just did not see the point. But I will say this - whenever we played Arsenal - the Ox was the player I feared most. Just like the first season game of last season when we beat them 4-3 at the Emirates - it was his darting run and goal - he has the odd occasion when going forward where he can be like Hazard - you know the knife through butter run. Still I would have rather we signed that defender we needed.

  1. Mane, a constant threat - should have had a couple and could have had even more assists.
  2. Alex O, tireless and never shirked responsibility - back on course to being a top, top player after his Arsenal blip
  3. Mo Salah, simply sensational - 2 goals just about trumps Joe-Go's excellent performance.

Mane
Salah
Gomez

Oxo just misses out. I thought Gomez was the absolute pick of our defenders defensively and obviously he's starting to show more going forward.

The rating of the ref option was tricky. Did he do well? Well obviously he was pretty terrible, but thank the Lord for his decision not to send Ming off.

He did give us practically nothing in the 2nd period, and we had a spate of yellow cards for challenges which barely warranted a free kick.

I always understand the question as whether he did well in general - in this case clearly no, even though his incompetence helped us more.
