Are Leipzig the new Southampton?

[article]
The Reds were desperate to steal midfielder Naby Keita, 22, from the Bundesliga outfit during the summer transfer window.

And although they agreed a deal worth about £55m for the Guinea international, he won’t link up with them until next year.
Liverpool have also been credited with interest in Keita’s Leipzig team-mate Timo Werner, who plays in attack.
However, it seems the next man the Merseysiders have lined up to swap the Red Bull Arena for Anfield is 18-year-old defender Upamecano.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Liverpool are eyeing up the France Under-19 international.
Upamecano has made five first-team appearances for Leipzig so far this season.
And his performances since joining Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have seen him touted as a star of the future

Yeh plus Meccano was invented 50 years before Lego. I wonder where the Lego bloke got his idea for a construction toy from.....

Plus you didn't spend 5 days constructing something only for some weapon to walk past knock it over and it falls to pieces. We've enough players who fall to pieces thank you

Fuck that

Lets see you build a millennium falcon out of ruddy meccano. Its practical, boring shite that belongs in the 80s with its Alan keys.

Its as bad as that k'nex stuff that was knocking about in the 90s

Meccano always seemed sell complicated. The only use it had for me was an early indicator that I wasn't going to be a mechanical engineer when I grew up. Or able to put up a shelf correctly.

I wouldn't fuck sticklebricks if I was you m8. I wouldn't fuck any little fish at all.

Well, this thread has started well. I'll get it back on track. I've seen a bit of him and while Upamecano is a great talent, he's still young and quite raw.
Will be a great, strong, commanding player one day but he wouldn't help out abysmal back line now.

... but can he build an Anfield Road extension out of reusable metal strips, plates, angle girders, wheels, axles and gears, and high quality plastic parts that are connected together using nuts, bolts and set screws?

Two-horse race: Are the Manchester heavyweights unstoppable this season?
The Merseyside club have already conceded nine goals in the Premier League this term and have been widely criticised for failing to bring in defensive reinforcements ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk was Liverpool’s priority target in the summer but the Reds were forced to apologise for an illegal approach on the Netherlands international.
Bild suggest that Jurgen Klopp has now turned his attention to 18-year-old Frenchman Upamecano ahead of the January transfer window.

The France Under-19 international joined Leipzig in January, signing a four-and-a-half year deal, but was being heavily linked with a move to England in the summer.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal are understood to have expressed a strong interest in Upamecano but brought in other defensive targets.
