I think that photograph of him as a teenager taken by a twenty year old camera gave it away.

Still, it means we have an experienced player, and one who won't lose his transfer value in four years time. What's not to like?
 
Before this window started, I would have defo taken a straight swap of rat and Can out, then VVD, Keita, Lemar and Mahrez coming in over the next 2 windows.

Would have been nice to have Goretzka on that list as well but that hasn't worked out.
 
Where would Mahrez play though, I thought he normally plays on the right, and that's precisely where Salah plays. Could he play more centrally? guess I've not seen enough of him to know.

Salah does his best work in or around the box though. He was almost playing as a striker against Leicester, leaving Firmino to roam. It could work, 2 CMs and a fluid front 4.
 
Not sure how I feel about signing Mahrez, but 4-2-2-2 with Salah and Firmino up top, and Mane and Mahrez on the wings sounds pretty ridiculous to me.
 
It's a lot of twitter bollocks because Mahrez has been omitted from the team to face the mighty Fleetwood.

He's not on the bench either, which is a bit weird in all honesty.
L'Equipe reporting that we've made contact is at least quite trustworthy

In fairness, I do believe we're negotiating with Leicester, but it isn't as imminent or certain as twitter is suggesting.
 
Vardy was a doubt/injured with a groin injury, late fitness test. So calm the fuck up. Or something.

Mahrez will be a Liverpool player next week..

Coutinho has gone.. Not gone to dubai..

Though apparently that's to do with long flights not being good for a bad back or something
 
I certainly wouldn’t mind getting a player of Mahrez’s quality but I just don’t see him as a Coutinho replacement.
Will just have to trust Klopp’s judgement on this. As much as I was happy about AOC coming in, I never thought he could competently play in midfield. Yet he’s getting better and better at it.
 
Mahrez will just be a stop gap till the summer

But it's a good signing netherless

He will be perfect when we play away from home with our counter attacking style

He will fit right in

He will be a key player for us..

He will grab a bucket load of assists for the remainder of the season
